Move over Joe Frazier and Muhammad Ali because there's a new 'Fight of the Century' limbering up to step into the ring.
While the idea of a YouTuber taking on the former undisputed world heavyweight champion sounds very 2024, was anyone really expecting Jake Paul and Mike Tyson to actually duke it out?
While Jake Paul is some 31 years younger than Iron Mike, Tyson has been showing off his brutal training regime and proved that he isn't messing around.

Tyson might've retired back in 2005, but 19 years later, he's back to knock this Gen Z content creator back into the Stone Age.
There have been accusations that Paul hasn't been taking it as seriously as Tyson, famously going viral for wearing a fat suit.
That seems unfair as other videos have shown him equally stepping up to the plate and pulling off some impressive moves. Still, we wouldn't fancy taking a punch from Tyson.

Smack talk is all part of the run-up to a boxing match, but now, Paul has brutally trolled Tyson by shelling out $100,000 on a diamond-encrusted ear cover.
Joking to audiences in a pre-match talk, Paul said: "I'm not getting my sh*t bit off."
For those who don't get the joke, it's in reference to Tyson's infamous 1997 heavyweight rematch against Evander Holyfield. Back in Tyson's prime, he wanted revenge on Holyfield for defeating him in a 1996 11th-round TKO. Dubbed 'The Bite Fight', Tyson was disqualified in the third round at the MGM Grand in 1997.
Tyson later said that the bite was in response to Holyfield headbutting him, while Holyfield claimed Tyson purposefully wanted to get disqualified because he was going to get knocked out.

Although Holyfield says it only took him 'five minutes' to forgive Tyson, the latter lost his boxing license and was fined $3 million. While Paul is clearly having a little fun, not everyone seems to find his diamond covering that funny.
Responding to Complex sharing the jibe on Instagram, Holyfield himself simply put an eye-roll emoji, with someone responding: "Real champ takes real damage đđđ."
Others were unimpressed with Paul's cockiness, as someone added: "Money can't unlame this dude."

Another concluded: "This whole thing is just an absolute circus of an event."
After being delayed from earlier this year, there are stipulations that mean the Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson fight could be called off hours before its November 15 start. Still, with the match due to take place at Arlington's AT&T Stadium and streamed via Netflix, it's poised to be one of the year's biggest sporting events. Some think the whole thing is a fix and done simply for the views, but with the pair poised to settle their differences, let's hope all Paul's smack talk doesn't lead to him drinking through a straw for the rest of his life.
