Apple reveal insane battery life of new iPhone 18 Pro Max that could be enough to convince users to upgrade

Apple has just unveiled its latest model of iPhone - the iPhone 18 Pro - during its annual phone event.
Fans have been anxiously awaiting the broadcast of the tech giant's 'Surprise and shine' event after it was initially confirmed weeks prior.
Now, the event is underway, with Apple's new CEO, John Ternus, announcing the introduction of the iPhone 18 Pro.

The new iPhone comes with some serious upgrades on previous models, notably coming with a new battery that could convince users to take the plunge for an upgrade.
In fact, the battery life on the iPhone 18 is so impressive that it is purported to be the longest in iPhone history.
The iPhone 18 Pro comes with 36 hours of video playback on a single charge while the iPhone 18 Pro Max boasts a whopping 45 hours of video playback.
The prices of the latest iPhones have also been confirmed, with the iPhone 18 Pro starting at $1,199, and the iPhone 18 Pro Max starting at $1,299.
John Ternus' first Apple keynote address
Apple's phone announcement is currently live streaming across the world, with the introduction to the latest iPhone being made by John Ternus, who has officially taken over as the CEO of Apple from Tim Cook after he served 15 years in the position.
Ternus marked his takeover with his first ever keynote address as head of the firm, unveiling the latest products for the company.
Ternus has a long history with Apple, having first joined back in 2001 as an engineer working on external Mac monitors.
In 2013, he was promoted to Vice President of Hardware Engineering of Apple before becoming Senior Vice President of Hardware Engineering of Apple in 2021, which is a role he has stayed in until his most recent promotion.
Introducing the new model of iPhone, Ternus addressed the live stream to say: “I love the idea that the things we make help people be more creative, more productive, and maybe even do things they didn't think possible before. I love that we lead with our values and we infuse them into everything that we do. We obsess over the details.
“We care enormously about design and simplicity. We want our products to be incredibly powerful, but we also want them to be simple and natural and intuitive. And look, at the end of the day, we just want to make things that have a meaningful impact in people's lives.”
