Verizon is offering $40 off the iPhone duo
After it was first announced last month, Apple’s first ever foldable phone is set to finally be released tomorrow (October 23), with pre-orders becoming available last week.
The iPhone Duo is a first for the tech giant, with its thin screen layer developed to minimize the visibility of a crease along the screen where it folds, and when unfolded, will be their thinnest model yet.
The hinge was also engineered to support the device, with Apple stating: “The central structural plane has support ribs for added stiffness. To make the frame even more rigid, the antenna splits are reinforced with high performance inserts. They’re made from ceramic fibers that are three times stronger than grade five titanium. Together these structural details make iPhone Duo feel exceptionally solid every time you use it.”

Of course, the new iPhone model will come with a hit to the wallet for customers as the iPhone Duo’s price tag starts at a whopping $1,999.

However, there are certain deals that might be able to help consumers get the device for cheaper.
This comes after Verizon announced that it is offering customers a $40 saving by waiving activation fees, alongside several other promotions that could help bring down the cost of Apple's latest smartphone.

The carrier is also offering additional incentives for customers willing to switch networks, with potential savings of up to $1,000 available when trading in an eligible device.
For existing Verizon customers on eligible plans, the company is waiving activation and upgrade fees through its Loyalty Program, making it possible to save money before factoring in any trade-in offers.
Anyone who is new to Verizon can switch to its Simplicity Plan and add a new line to get the iPhone Duo for $72 per month on a 48-month payment plan.
This includes $42 per month towards the handset itself and $30 per month for the plan, although taxes and fees will apply.
And if you’re looking to save even more bucks, users who select myPlan and add a new line can receive up to $1,000 off an iPhone Duo when trading in an eligible device.
Verizon is also offering an additional incentive for people switching networks who purchase the iPhone Duo without trading in an old device as eligible customers can receive an Apple Watch Series 12 or an iPad through promotional bill credits worth up to $600.
