Apple announces Siri AI beta will be available this month but only users in certain regions can access it

Apple's 'Surprise and shine' event is currently being broadcast live around the world as the company's new CEO, John Ternus, reveals the latest products that the tech giant has to offer.
This includes the unveiling of the new iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, which boast the longest battery life in iPhone history.
However, it is also the confirmation of when Siri AI will become publicly available that has got Apple fans excited.

The revamped digital assistant will be made available in its beta form later this month but will only be accessible for certain iPhone users in particular regions.
Siri AI will reportedly come with some serious upgrades and will be able to ‘take actions in your apps, including third-party apps’, with many users have been excited to try out for themselves.
However, there are some limitations that fans will need to be aware of. First of all, the beta version will only be available in English, with other languages including French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish coming in October.
The AI assistant will also only be covering certain regions, as the EU and China will not be receiving the upgrade.
Details on the new iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max
Ternus announced during the event that the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max are set to hit the shelves and these new devices also come with upgrades.
Notably the new iPhone models will come with a new battery that could convince users to take the plunge for an upgrade - in fact - the battery life on the iPhone 18 is so impressive that it is purported to be the longest in iPhone history.
The iPhone 18 Pro comes with 36 hours of video playback on a single charge while the iPhone 18 Pro Max boasts a whopping 45 hours of video playback.
The prices of the latest iPhones have also been confirmed, with the iPhone 18 Pro starting at $1,199, and the iPhone 18 Pro Max starting at $1,299.
Who is John Ternus?
John Ternus has officially taken over as the CEO of Apple from Tim Cook, who served 15 years in the position.
Ternus marked his takeover with his first ever keynote address as head of the firm, unveiling the latest products for the company.
So, what are Ternus’ credentials prior to the promotion? Well, he has a long history with Apple, having first joined back in 2001 as an engineer working on external Mac monitors.
In 2013, he was promoted to Vice President of Hardware Engineering of Apple before becoming Senior Vice President of Hardware Engineering of Apple in 2021, which is a role he has stayed in until his most recent promotion.
