Podcaster and comedian Theo Von has issued a three-word call out on X to JD Vance, as a clip between the two where they discuss the Epstein files has resurfaced on social media amid recent government decisions.
The files and contact list of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein have been key to US political discourse since his mysterious death in 2019, and continue to divide opinion to this day.
The Republican Party, including current president Donald Trump, have repeatedly promised to reveal the former financier's contact list and have even included it as a campaign promise, yet recent decisions made by the current administration appear to indicate the opposite.

One key aspect of Elon Musk's public social media spat with Trump was the former's accusation that the president was present in the Epstein files - a claim the billionaire has since come to regret making - but it appeared to mark a turning point in the government's position on the Epstein case.
The Department of Justice then indicated that Epstein's death was a suicide, despite reports that footage of his jail cell was edited, and that there were no 'files' or list of contacts that could be blackmailed in existence.
As reported by Axios, House Republicans have also now blocked a Democratic maneuver to force the release of the Epstein files, and this has led one major podcaster to call out vice president JD Vance on X.
What has Theo Von said about JD Vance?
Quoting a short clip of his October 2024 interview with Vance, Theo Von wrote: "Yeah what changed?"

The clip, spanning just seven seconds, begins with Von chanting 'release the list', to which both laugh in response. JD Vance then replies: "Seriously, we need to release the Epstein list, that is an important thing."

Many saw this as Vance outlining a key priority for the Trump administration if elected, especially considering the interview's close proximity to the November 5 election which he and Trump would go on to win.
What appears to be the issue isn't just that the list hasn't been released, but in that the Trump administration is now claiming that no such list has even existed.
Many aren't convinced that this is true, especially when Attorney General Pam Bondi claimed earlier this year that it was 'sat on her desk' waiting to be revealed, and predictably conspiracies have started to swirl.
Theo Von's call out post has garnered over 10 million views and 256,000 likes, showing the shared frustration that many are feeling with the Republican Party's treatment of the Epstein case.

"Haven't you heard? This Epstein thing was all just a big misunderstanding," wrote one reply sarcastically. "It was just him and him alone... and some lady that's in jail for trafficking people to nobody."

Another added that Theo "got duped" by promises from Vance and Trump, arguing that "you endorsed a liar and are surprised that they lied."
Von certainly isn't the only high profile individual that has been left unhappy with the government's handling of Epstein though, as Elon Musk has made it a priority to find a resolution, and has shared some rather bizarre memes about the situation in typical fashion.
