Freddy, Jason, Michael, Pinhead, Chucky. They're some of the most iconic names in horror, but only one of them is taking on Nicki Minaj on X. Well, while Chucky isn't quite butting heads with the "Anaconda" rapper, his creator is making his feelings clear.
The internet is more of a warzone than usual today (November 4), which was to be expected in the aftermath of the American midterms and a 'blue tsunami' sweeping through the House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate. There were already rumbles about what could happen to the Republican Party and President Donald Trump if the Democrats took a majority, but with it being compared to the disastrous post-Watergate election of 1974, it's the worst for the Grand Old Party in over 50 years.
What has Child's Play creator Don Mancini said about Nicki Minaj?

As some Republican supporters (and even Fox News) try to put a more positive spin on the election, Democrats and even other Republicans are cheering the loss. Among them is Chucky creator Don Mancini, who issued a takedown of Nicki Minaj.

Although there are questions about how long Minaj has been a Republican Party supporter, many consider her appearance alongside Erika Kirk at December 2025's Turning Point USA rally as when she officially hitched herself to the MAGA bandwagon.
Ahead of the midterms, Minaj shared an AI post on X that depicted Chucky in a pink suit and implored people to 'vote red'. It's no secret that Minaj is a fan of AI, previously using it to show her allegiance to the POTUS.
This isn't the first time she's used Chucky to promote her political views, falling out with California's Governor Gavin Newsom over his support of trans kids in December 2025.
In the aftermath of her Chucky post, Mancini posted to his followers and beyond, sharing a picture of a blue-haired Chucky doll and writing: "Too bad, Nicki! No AI, by the way! #bluewave."
While not aimed specifically at Minaj, an earlier post read: "Chucky has a trans kid. Chucky protects the dolls. Chucky is anti-ICE. Chucky says “A BLUE WAVE is coming, as BLUE as my [insert expletive here] eyes!”
What is Nicki Minaj's connection to Chucky?

This appears to be the first time Mancini has called Minaj to task over her views, although her love of Chucky is nothing new.
As far back as Kanye West's "Monster" from 2010, she's been rapping about being a real-life Bride of Chucky. These references have continued through the years, with Minaj and husband Kenneth Petty dressing as Chucky and Tiffany in 2019.
Since then, she's repeatedly used the creepy doll in her posts arguing with the likes of Newsom, also ridiculing Don Lemon over his coverage of ICE protests, and sharing another AI-created Chucky in response to President Trump talking about her at the White House Correspondents' Dinner.
She's yet to publicly respond to Mancini, but it'll be interesting to see if she beefs back with Mancini or continues posting about Chucky.
While Nicki Minaj might be a fan of Chucky, it doesn't look like he's a fan of her.
