Elon Musk now seemingly has the opportunity to join a new government after Russian officials present a jaw-dropping offer to the richest man in the world following his public fallout with US President Donald Trump.
There have been few bigger political eruptions than what occurred between Elon Musk and Donald Trump last week, as the pair cemented rumors of their split by trading blows on social media.
It seemingly all began after Musk criticized Trump's economic policy after finally departing from his role as head of the Department of Government Efficiency.

Many had speculated that the once-inseparable bond between Trump and Musk was broken despite efforts for reconciliation from both parties, yet everything would quickly become clear when their pair took to social media.
Armed with X and Truth Social, the duo exchanged bitter comments and wild accusations, including threats to cease all business contracts, proclamations of election prowess, and most notably allegations of the president's place within the Epstein files.
Amid the chaos, former White House official Steven Bannon argued that Musk - a South African-born US citizen - should be deported and his company SpaceX should be seized by the US government, and that has prompted another nation to seemingly come to his rescue.

As reported by the Washington Post, several key Russian officials have offered Musk support in his conflict with Trump, with one even going as far to supposedly offer him asylum in the country, much like NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden.
"Elon @elonmusk, don't be upset!" Wrote former Roscomos head Dmitry Rogozin on X. "You are respected in Russia. If you encounter insurmountable problems in the US, come to us and become one of us - a 'Bars-Sarmat' fighter. Here you will find reliable comrades and complete freedom of technical creativity."
Musk has previously urged the United States to pull out of NATO amid the Russian invasion of Ukraine, which came immediately after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's challenging White House visit.

Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chair of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, also added a 'joke' of his own to the situation, offering himself as a mediator in exchange for a valuable reward.

"We are ready to facilitate the conclusion of a peace deal between D and E for a reasonable fee," wrote Medvedev on X, "and to accept Starlink shares as payment. Don't fight, guys!"
Musk himself responded with a laughing emoji to this particular post, so he's clearly enjoying the simultaneous geopolitical turmoil and comedy that his feud has prompted.
Russian officials aren't the only ones using the political fallout to poke fun either, as Ashley St. Clair, who allegedly gave birth to Musk's 13th child, also chimed in by offering Trump 'breakup advice'.
