Elon Musk has issued a fierce warning Donald Trump and his administration following the newly announced 'abomination' of a tax bill.
The world's richest man said his final farewell at the White House last week, although the President has assured that 'he will, always, be with us, helping all the way.' That said, the Tesla CEO's criticism of Trump's agenda is far from over.
After leading the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) for 129 days, Musk stepped down from his governmental role to refocus on his billion-dollar enterprises. Although his role was temporary, his 'shock' departure caused rumours to circulate that his exit was premature amid growing rumours of a rift with Trump.

Shortly after Musk's exit, Trump celebrated the passage of his signature 'big, beautiful bill'.
The budget was passed by the House of Representatives last month and includes raising the debt limit by more than $4 trillion over the next two years, as well as increased defence spending. The new piece of legislation also allows the US government to borrow more money and enables Trump to advance his immigration policy and economic reform agenda.
But Musk's allegiance with Trump has shifted from partnership to protest after calling the plan 'disappointing' and undermining the work that DOGE does.
"I’m sorry, but I just can’t stand it anymore," Musk wrote yesterday (3 June) on X. "This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination.

"Shame on those who voted for it: you know you did wrong. You know it."
The SpaceX founder, who has previously supported candidates aligned with Trump’s agenda, now appears ready to challenge Republicans who voted in favour of the bill.
"In November next year, we fire all politicians who betrayed the American people," he threatened on X, taking aim at the lawmakers who backed the bill.

In its current form, the legislation is expected to add roughly $600 billion (£444 billion) to the US deficit in the next fiscal year alone. According to the 53-year-old, the long-term impact is even worse.

Musk has taken to a series of X posts heavily criticising the bill.
In another post, Musk warned: "It will massively increase the already gigantic budget deficit to $2.5 trillion (!!!) and burden America citizens with crushingly unsustainable debt". And a more recent post warned: "This immense level of overspending will drive America into debt slavery!"
The so-called 'pork' spending is the funds allocated to specific districts or industries. Critics like Musk argue that these allocations waste taxpayer money, but supporters claim they help fund essential services like defence, healthcare and infrastructure.
