The battle lines have been drawn, and while some of us sit back with a bucket of popcorn to watch the sparks fly, others are wading straight into the escalating feud between Elon Musk and President Donald Trump.
The President of the United States and his First Buddy celebrated six good months, but after that, the honeymoon period is well and truly over. After Elon Musk took umbrage with Donald Trump's One Big Beautiful Bill Act, it became clear to many that things were only going to go one way. The White House responded after Musk branded the bill a 'disgusting abomination', but little did we know this was just the start of the scandal.
Musk unexpectedly took to X to seemingly implicate the President in the Epstein Files, and not stopping there, vowed to pull SpaceX out of the space program while also calling for Trump to be impeached. Trump has laughed things off so far, claiming that the world's richest man is suffering from 'Trump Derangement Syndrome', and while there are reports of potential peace talks between the pair, others think there's no coming back from this.

The flames are now being fanned by former White House official Steve Bannon. After Musk's SpaceX threat, Bannon called for Trump to invoke the Defense Production Act and seize control of the company from the tech billionaire. It comes after Musk seemed to suggest he'd decommission the Dragon craft, which is used to ferry astronauts back and forth from the International Space Station.
Speaking on his War Room podcast, Bannon said: "The action that President Trump should be taking immediately, I think, is when [Musk] threatens to take one of the big programs out of Space X, President Trump tonight should sign an executive order calling for the Defense Production Act to be called in on SpaceX and seize SpaceX tonight, before midnight."

Not stopping there, Bannon branded Musk a 'parasitic illegal immigrant', and despite being declared a US citizen in 2002, Trump's former aide said the South African native should be deported: "I happen to believe, given the facts that I’ve been shown, that he is an illegal alien. Illegal alien’s gotta be deported.”
Although he wouldn't divulge what information he's supposedly received, Bannon continued: "Elon Musk is illegal. He’s got to go too...Deport immediately.”

Doubling down on his thoughts about the world's richest man, Bannon also spoke to The New York Times and again called for Musk to be deported: "They should initiate a formal investigation of his immigration status because I am of the strong belief that he is an illegal alien, and he should be deported from the country immediately,”
He concluded by offering to diagnose the 'problem' with Musk: "Here’s the problem with Elon. Very simple. He promised a trillion dollars in cuts in waste, fraud, and abuse, and listen – for all the fanboys out there,” he said. “I’m gonna treat you fanboys like little puppies; they’re gonna rub your nose in the mess you made."
