An expert has claimed that we might be able to get ‘proof’ of alien life as early as this year an ‘interstellar visitor’ is set to pass by Earth.
A huge unknown object will be visiting our solar system at some point in the near future and scientists don’t actually know what it is.
However, according to one UFOlogist and a Harvard theoretical physicist, it will either be a massive asteroid or finally proof that aliens actually exist.
The giant object, which has become known as 3I/ATLAS, originates back to a thicker part of the Milky Way galaxy’s disk, which is an area where older stars are often found.

The object is on its way to us and is expected to fly past Earth and loop round the sun.
But while 3I/ATLAS has been officially classed as a comet, experts don’t actually know what it really is.
Speaking to Metro, Mark Christopher Lee, who is a UFOlogist and film-maker, weighed in with his expert opinion saying: “The UFOlogist film-making side of me goes: We could get evidence of actual first contact by Christmas!

“The interstellar object 3I/ATLAS is due to pass by Earth just before Xmas. Some have speculated that this may be intentional if it is proven to be some kind of alien probe or Mothership.”
Lee continued: “These are indeed weird times in the world and throughout mankind’s history, we have always looked into the stars for meaning and guidance and in 2025, we need it more than ever.”
Another expert, Avi Loeb, who is a Harvard astrophysicist, revealed that the evidence obtained so far could be ‘in support of the dark forest hypothesis’.
Loeb said: “It might have targeted the inner solar system as expected from alien technology.”

The dark forest hypothesis is a theory that explains why we haven’t had communications from aliens yet, suggesting that this is because they remain silent to avoid detection and potential destruction by other, potentially hostile, civilizations.
3I/ATLAS will be tracked over the next year and while it is expected to pass at its closest point to Earth in December this year, experts don’t believe the object will actually get anywhere close to our planet.
Instead, it is thought that the closest it will get to Earth is roughly 223 million miles away.

As the object travels through our solar system, it’s expected to pass by Jupiter in March 2026.
