President Donald Trump has gone on a charged social media rant, threatening to sue Grammys host Trevor Noah after the latter connected the President of the United States to the late Jeffrey Epstein.
While the friendship between Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein was well-documented with parties involving Victoria's Secret models, trips on Epstein's private jet, and an apparent affinity for 'beautiful' women, the White House has continued to put distance between the pair in the lead-up to and release of the Epstein files.
The current administration has already debunked claims about emails, an alleged birthday message, and the temporary removal of a photograph including the president, but proving that it's still a sore subject, Donald Trump doesn't look like he's ready to hear any jokes about the pair's friendship.
The 2026 Grammy Awards saw big wins for the likes of Bad Bunny, Lady Gaga, and Kendrick Lamar, with everyone from Sabrina Carpenter to Cher making it a star-studded event.

With the world being the way it is right now, and with the Doomsday Clock being closer to midnight than ever before, you could bet that politics was going to hang over the 68th Grammys. Away from Joni Mitchell, Justin and Hailey Bieber, and Olivia Rodrigo wearing "ICE Out" pins, Billie Eilish used her acceptance speech to say, "No one is illegal on stolen land."

There was more political discord when Noah poked fun at President Trump and joked about this being the last year he'd be allowed to present the Grammys. Having hosted consecutively since 2021, he’s become a staple of the awards ceremony.
As well as poking fun at Nicki Minaj allying with Trump, Trevor took his own shot at the Commander-in-Chief elsewhere during the night.
In his jibe against the president, Noah said: "Song of the Year - that is a Grammy that every artist wants almost as much as Trump wants Greenland, which makes sense because Epstein’s island is gone, he needs a new one to hang out with Bill Clinton."
Former President Bill Clinton was featured heavily in a December release of the Epstein files, with Trump even speaking out on his predecessor's involvement.
Whether Trump watches the Grammys or not, the joke landed on his radar as he called out Trevor as a 'total loser'. Posting on Truth Social, President Trump wrote: "It looks like I’ll be sending my lawyers to sue this poor, pathetic, talentless, dope of an M.C., and suing him for plenty."
Continuing his lengthy rant, Trump added: “Noah said, INCORRECTLY about me, that Donald Trump and Bill Clinton spent time on Epstein Island. WRONG!!! I can’t speak for Bill, but I have never been to Epstein Island, nor anywhere close, and until tonight’s false and defamatory statement, have never been accused of being there, not even by the Fake News Media."
Trump has spoken out in general on his name appearing around 1,000 times in the latest release, telling reporters on Air Force One: "I didn't see it [the files] myself but I was told by some very important people that, not only does it absolve me, it's the opposite of what people were hoping, you know, the radical left."
While Noah was likely just making a joke without necessarily implying much else, an angered Trump suggested he won't take this one lying down. Making his stance clear, Trump concluded: "Noah, a total loser, better get his facts straight, and get them straight fast. Get ready Noah, I’m going to have some fun with you!"
