It's caused quite the 'stink'

With Jimmy "MrBeast" Donaldson finally admitting he's a billionaire, it's a testament to the idea that big names in the content creation community can earn some serious dollars. Whether it be MrBeast, Kai Cenat, Felix "xQc" Lengyel, or any of the others we sub to, many of them boast a healthy bank balance.

Charles White Jr, aka MoistCr1TiKaL, revealed the 'insane' amount he earned before disabling monetization, while Zack "Asmongold" Hoyt has also previously spoken out about the 'pay pig' mentality, where streamers earn more money than they can spend.

We know one thing Asmongold isn't spending his money on...and that's shower gel.

You might remember Hoyt as that guy who got in a fracas with Elon Musk via DM, but for others, they've known him for much longer thanks to his World of Warcraft streams. Although Hoyt has since become something of a political commentator, he was forced to step down from his One True King (OTK) organization over his anti-Palestine stance in 2024.

Asmongold is still a big deal in the streaming world and has shocked viewers with a very frank admission about his washing habits. Or lack of.

As pointed out by Dexerto, Hoyt isn't exactly known for his cleanliness. He previously admitted his room was something of a biohazard, and after finally employing a massive cleaning operation in 2024, he found dead animals among the mess.

Jump forward to October 2025, Asmongold claims he's only changed his pillowcase twice in his entire life. During the broadcast, Hoyt explained how he used to get pretty bad acne but doesn't anymore. That's despite not changing his pillowcases.

Fessing up to shocked audiences, Hoyt said: "I change my pillowcases, I’ve done it before. It’s happened, I think twice. One time I had a girlfriend move in and she said, ‘You need to change your pillowcases,’ and that was in 2019."

The second change of bedding came in 2023, but according to Hoyt, that's the last time his pillowcases got a wash.

As for bathing, he's adamant that his skin was the healthiest it's ever been when he didn't shower for three months. He went on to say that while he's since started showing more often, it's one of the 'worst' decisions he's ever made.

A defiant Hoyt reiterated that his lack of showering meant he was "beginning to evolve” and started growing an 'exoskeleton' where he didn't need to wash. Still, we've got to love the line where he said: "Let's say I started off as a Geodude. I was becoming a Graveler."

For those who are questioning why growing an 'exoskeleton' might be beneficial, Asmongold cheered: "I stopped getting hot and I stopped getting cold. After I didn’t shower, I didn’t feel that way anymore, because of a self-regulating apparatus.”

Well, whatever floats your boat.

There was plenty of backlash, with one person saying: "The worst part of the internet is that this guy's fame somehow makes him a thought leader, I can't believe what I'm seeing brother."

Another added: "Why don't these people donate to the homeless instead of probably the filthiest man on the internet rn, who is a jerk even to his own community."

Then again, a third concluded: "Will you stop falling for his bits ffs, he's baiting you and you keep falling for it."
