Elon Musk's fractured relationship with US President Donald Trump appears to have taken a new turn as the richest man in the world shares a two-word tweet alongside a photo of the pair together.
Over 70,000 people attended Charlie Kirk's funeral at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona on Sunday, yet it was the proximity of two rather notable individuals that drew the most attention.
President Donald Trump was one of the people invited to speak at the memorial service alongside Kirk's wife Erika, government officials like Marco Rubio, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and many more.
Trump made his own wild claim that the 'most important' medical announcement would soon be revealed, and reacted to his eldest son's odd impersonation during the memorial event, yet he caught up with an old friend while up in his box.

Cameras were quick to spot Elon Musk making his way over to Trump, and many were left shocked to see the billionaire sit down next to Trump in the midst of their public fallout earlier this year.
While they seemingly possessed a close connection for several months, everything appeared to erupt in early June when Musk's exit from his DOGE role saw the tech mogul launch a number of accusations at the current president — including one that claimed Trump is present in the Epstein files.
Trump hit back with some wild claims of his own, issued a number of policy changes that appeared to be intentional in the harm they caused Musk and his companies, and even threatened to deport the South African-born billionaire.
Many rightfully considered their relationship to be permanently fractures and in a state beyond repair, yet their encounter on Sunday appears to show that things aren't as bad as they seem.

Musk highlighted this himself on X, posting an image of the two of them at the event with the caption: "For Charlie."
This appears to suggest that their reconnection was inspired by Kirk's death, which is perhaps informed further by Musk's own thoughts on what caused the far-right commentator to be shot earlier this month.
Lip reading experts have also offered analysis on what they discussed during this brief rendezvous, with the president suggesting that they 'work it out' and 'get back on track', and even stating that he had 'missed' Musk.
Perhaps this shuts down any conversations that Musk might have had about starting his own opposing political party, and who knows, maybe Trump would be willing to give him his old job back.
