The insane cost of security at Charlie Kirk’s memorial has been revealed after the authorities confirmed that they expect to receive ‘several threats’ during the event.
The political commentator was shot and killed earlier this month (September 10) while he spoke on stage as part of his ‘American Comeback’ tour at Utah Valley University (UVU).
A 22 year old named Tyler Robinson was later arrested under suspicion of the shooting and he made his first appearance in court via video link from Utah County Jail on Tuesday (September 16) where he heard that prosecutors will be seeking the death penalty.
Since Kirk’s death, it was announced that his funeral will be open to the public and will be held at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, on Sunday, September 21.

The police shared that there would be a ‘Superbowl-like’ security presence at the event.
The venue has a capacity of 63,000 and attendees are required to provide their name, address, email and phone number.
Now, authorities have revealed that the security operation will cost a whopping $10 million to complete, including a federal surveillance aircraft, sniper teams, and checkpoints similar to those found in airports.

Kirk’s funeral is set to have multiple speeches from prominent political figures including President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance.
It has been reported that the political commentator’s wife, Erika Kirk, will also address the crowd at the memorial.
The funeral is being live streamed for people around the world and is available to watch on Rumble, with the title: “Building A Legacy, Remembering Charlie Kirk.”

In the event description, which has over 100,000 online viewers at the time of writing, it reads: “Join Turning Point USA for a special memorial event, remembering our Founder and CEO, Charlie Kirk. Hear from President Donald J. Trump, Vice President JD Vance, Erika Kirk and more.”
The memorial will also include various musical performances from various artists.
Following his death, Erika released a video addressing the ‘evildoers’ who are responsible for her husband’s death, claiming that they ‘should all know this: If you thought my husband’s mission was powerful before, you have no idea. You have no idea what you just have unleashed across this entire country, and this world’.
She added: “In a world filled with chaos, doubt and uncertainty, my husband’s voice will remain and it will ring out louder and more clearly than ever.”
