Elon Musk has issued another 'emergency' on social media, as he has argued that a country with over 58 million residents is now on the verge of 'disappearing' in a new three-word post on X.
He's never been a stranger to expressing his political views online but over the past year Elon Musk has become especially interested in the politics of certain countries that he deems to be 'at risk'.
He's unleashed repeated tirades against the UK government following child sexual abuse scandals, even going to the point of threatening an invasion through a poll for his followers, and has repeatedly expressed his support for the German far-right party AfD, garnering criticism from the director of a concentration camp memorial.
One of his biggest global concerns though is the apparent declining birth rates that many countries are facing, and being a vocal pro-natalist who is certainly doing his part when it comes to populating the planet, it's clear to understand why this might be a problem for him.

Among the hundreds of posts he shares on X every week was a new call to action for the 58 million citizens of one of Europe's most prominent nations, as he has responded to a 'worrying' statistic.
Quoting a post regarding the 'record low' birth rate in Italy, Musk remarked: "Italy is disappearing."
The original post itself notes that statistics indicate that there are now an average of 1.13 children-per-woman in the southern European nation, with 'only' 370,000 babies born in the last year — the lowest since 1861.
"Experts warn this decline is getting worse and shows no sign of recovery creating a serious challenge for Italy's future population," argues DogeDesigner, one of Musk's favorite accounts to interact with on social media.
Contrastingly, one reply from 'GlobalStatsX' indicates that Italy's population has actually grown significantly in the last 70 years, increasing by over 10 million. Although this is slower than the rate of increase for other major nations, doesn't account for a potential inverse split when it comes to age, and also does show a decrease of around a million since 2010.

Musk has previously claimed that population drops are "the greatest risk to the future of civilization," and has also warned another country with over 124 million residents that they're experiencing a similar issue to Italy.
However, he rarely actually grapples with or acknowledges the issues that many face that arguably result in decreasing birth rates, alongside societal changes that could explain this trend.
For example, many people across the world don't feel as if they are financially secure enough to have children at all, let alone multiple – as not everyone is rich enough to build their own private baby compound – and dramatically increased freedom for women has also played a key role in the shift.
