Epstein revealed to have reportedly been working on worlds first 'human clones' in shocking new files

It's said Epstein had a strong interest in transhumanism

The latest release of the Epstein files is full of some shocking revelations, with even more major names being linked to the shamed financier. Although Epstein was found dead in his cell while awaiting trial in 2019, there has been continued interest in his case and questions about whether others were complicit in his crimes.

Despite his previous friendship with Epstein, President Donald Trump vowed to release the Epstein files, which have become something of an issue for his administration. With the government being called out for its botched handling of the files and making it into something of a show, there were then complaints when heavily redacted portions were released toward the end of 2025.

President Trump has repeatedly denied wrongdoing, as have spokespeople for the likes of former President Bill Clinton and Bill Gates, with us reiterating that just because someone is named or pictured in the files, it doesn’t imply guilt.

Alongside an apparent string of emails between Epstein and Elon Musk, dinners with Mark Zuckerberg, wild claims that Gates contracted an STD, and confirmation that biohacker Bryan Johnson once communicated with Epstein, there's another big story from the world of tech.

As reported by the Daily Mail, there's correspondence between Epstein and Bitcoin developer Bryan Bishop that dates back to 2018. Bishop was seemingly seeking financial backing for a 'designer babies project' and human cloning.

Coming more than a decade after Epstein was convicted for procuring a child for prostitution and of soliciting a prostitute in 2008, he wrote: "I have no issues with investing. The problem is only if I am seen to lead."

Bishop replied weeks later, with an outline of what funding he needed to move past the 'garage biology' phase and a total estimate of up to $9.5 million. There are mentions of 'more mouse testing' at a Ukrainian lab, while Epstein wrote: "I like implant embryo, wait 9 months. Great ending."

Bishop's designer baby venture was focused on altering the human germline as a way that would allow parents to select certain traits that could be passed down.

Instead of directly editing embryos, Bishop was looking at altering sperm-producing cells via gene therapy. This was later branded as "ethically troubling and technically unproven," with the plans potentially operating outside the established medical and regulatory oversight.

Later in their emails, Bishop told Epstein how his team was looking at taking a more 'radical' approach.

A November 2018 email states: "My team has been working on a new technique which does not involve stem cells in the testis, instead it's an embryo editing technique more similar to cloning, which does not require an injection to the [biological father]."

It's suggested that Epstein and Bishop met several times to discuss plans, although it's unclear how far things went.

These revelations come after a 2019 report from The New York Times revealed that Epstein was interested in 'seeding' the human race with his own DNA by impregnating women at his New Mexico ranch.

The NYT mentions how Epstein used tactics to "insinuate himself into an elite scientific community, thus allowing him to pursue his interests in eugenics and other fringe fields like cryonics."

As well as supporting transhumanism, Epstein reportedly once told someone that he wanted to have his head and penis frozen upon his death.

In response to the latest release of the Epstein files, Bishop told the Daily Mail: "We never took funding from Epstein and I'm proud of that."

The Daily Mail makes it clear that it's unknown whether Bishop was aware of Epstein's convictions, although he declined to discuss anything outside of their communication.
