Bill Gates team responds to allegations he contracted STD in latest Epstein files

Epstein says he had 'monstrous fun' with the tech billionaire

The general public and journalists alike are currently poring through the latest release of the Epstein files, but with some three million pages, 180,000 images, and 2,000 videos shared by the Department of Justice, we might be here for a while.

Some have accused the current administration of having its hands tied after President Donald Trump vowed to release the coveted Epstein files in their entirety, while most of 2025 was remembered for their botched handling and accusations that it was turned into a circus.

The POTUS is mentioned hundreds of times in the files and appears in numerous photographs, although everyone from Mick Jagger to Kevin Spacey has been pictured. Even though we need to remember that being mentioned or appearing in pictures doesn't imply guilt, several big names from the tech world have also been linked to the late child sex offender, serial rapist, and human trafficker in some way. Biohacker Bryan Johnson has just spoken out after his email correspondence was featured, saying he only met Jeffrey Epstein for a 10-minute Zoom call and describing him as a "very dark person."

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates has previously been mentioned in the files, but following a new release in January 2026, his team has addressed further unsubstantiated claims.

In unsealed emails from 2013, Epstein appears to have drafted two emails as if he were resigning from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. There is no evidence that Epstein ever worked for the charitable organisation, although these emails appear to come following a dispute with Bill Gates. One email is seemingly written in the voice of a senior employee of the foundation and claims that the tech mogul caught an STD from 'Russian girls'. The draft reads: "I have been asked and wrongly acquiesced into participating in things that have ranged from the morally inappropriate, to the ethically unsound...From helping Bill to get drugs, in order to deal with consequences of sex with russian girls, to facilitating his illicit trysts, with married women, to being asked to provide adderall fro [sic] bridge tournaments."

Another goes on to mention Gates' ex-wife, Melinda French Gates, stating: "To add insult to the injury you then subsequently with tears in your eyes, implore me to please delete the emails regarding your std, your request that I provide you antibiotics that you can surreptitiously give to Melinda, and the description of your penis."

There's also a mention of "severe marital dispute between Melinda and Bill."

Elsewhere, one email has Epstein telling Peter Mandelson how he and Gates had 'monstrous fun' in Seattle.

Previously speaking to Business Insider in 2019, a representative for Gates said: "Although Epstein pursued Bill Gates aggressively, any account of a business partnership or personal relationship between the two is categorically false."

Responding to the latest emails, a spokesperson for Gates told the BBC: "These claims – from a proven, disgruntled liar – are absolutely absurd and completely false.

"The only thing these documents demonstrate is Epstein's frustration that he did not have an ongoing relationship with Gates and the lengths he would go to entrap and defame."

Melinda French Gates has previously mentioned her ex-husband's relationship with Epstein in the same sentence as their divorce, telling CBS in 2022 it was down to "many things — but I did not like that he’d had meetings with Jeffrey Epstein. I made that clear to him."

Representatives for Bill Gates continue to deny any wrongdoing on the billionaire's behalf.
