US talk show host reveals savage nickname for Donald Trump as he makes shocking U-turn over Epstein files

The bill to release the Epstein files is awaiting Trump's signature

A US talk show host has revealed a savage nickname for President Donald Trump after he made a shocking U-turn over the Epstein files.

Members of the public have been calling for the president to release the documents pertaining to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein for months.

However, until recently, Trump was outspoken on his stance against releasing the files as, earlier this year, his former buddy Elon Musk accused the president of being named in the docs.

During a public spat the Tesla boss took to X, formerly Twitter to write: “@realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public.

“Mark this post for the future. The truth will come out.”

At the time, Trump was not pleased with Musk’s remarks and in an interview with NBC News, the president said that Musk had been ‘disrespectful’.

He added: “I think it’s a very bad thing, because he's very disrespectful. You could not disrespect the office of the president.”

Since then, Trump has surprised people by making a dramatic U-turn on his stance, promising to release the files and even urging Republicans in Congress to vote for their release.

On his own social media platform Truth Social, Trump wrote: “House Republicans should vote to release the Epstein files because we have nothing to hide.”

However, with the bill having now been passed, it has landed on Trump’s desk and is still awaiting his signature.

US talk show host Ana Navarro spoke out on Instagram to brand Trump as an ‘orange buffoon’.

She wrote: “The orange buffoon knows he lost. Republicans know history has its eyes on them. What’s the old saying: ‘If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em’.”

Earlier this week, Trump claimed that he would sign the bill if it passed, speaking to reporters: “We’ll give them everything. Let the Senate look at it, let anybody look at it, but don’t talk about it too much, because honestly, I don’t want to take it away from us.”

Trump is yet to sign the bill or release the files himself, something he has the power to do without the involvement of Congress.

This has led to some politicians calling on the president to just publish the documents himself.

In a post shared on X, Democrat Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer wrote: “Let’s make this easier. Just release the files now.”
