They say that an elephant never forgets, but when there’s a chance to open up old wounds between Elon Musk and Donald Trump, we'd argue that Anonymous has a longer memory.
We wonder how long the infamous hacking group has been sitting on this one for.
It's true that the internet never forgets, and while Elon Musk has since deleted his rage-fuelled rant that spectacularly claimed Donald Trump is named in the Epstein files, Anonymous is here to stir the pot to remind us all about one of 2025's biggest feuds.
Things started so well for the returning POTUS and his so-called First Buddy. Sadly, it wasn't long before memories of turning the White House lawn into a Tesla showroom were forgotten by a series of charged social media posts, drug accusations, black eyes, and disbanded government organizations.

While Trump largely kept quiet but accepted Musk's grovelling apology, the pair haven't been the same since. Well, when one of your closest allies tries to connect you to a convicted pedophile, chances are things will be a bit frosty for a while.
Taking to X, Anonymous reshared Musk's post, which simply reads: "Time to drop the really big bomb: @realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!".
This isn't the first time Musk's post has resurfaced, and when a series of Epstein emails mentioned Trump, it again started doing the rounds.
Trump's relationship with Epstein has never been much of a secret, but after the administration was accused of dragging its feet with releasing the files, conspiracy theorists have maintained that it's to protect the president and hold back his involvement with the late financier. This hasn't been helped by Epstein's so-called 'Birthday Book', although both the White House and Trump have denied that he wrote anything for Epstein. The latter even called a note appearing to hold his signature a 'fake thing'.

This brings us to December 2025, and after Congress voted almost unanimously to release the full Epstein files, there have been complaints that hundreds of pages are still heavily redacted.
In the aftermath of former President Bill Clinton taking most of the heat following the latest release of photographs, there were questions about one featuring President Trump being quietly removed. The Department of Justice has since defended its actions and claims it was told to remove the offending snapshot to protect potential victims, while Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche has reassured critics that the POTUS doesn't have any special immunity.
Anonymous has never made any bones about its disdain for both Trump and Musk, seemingly jumping at any opportunity to make a bigger divide between them and fuel the fires of controversy.
Responding to the resurfaced post, one person chuckled: "Musk turning on Trump for 3 months was the funniest thing ever."
Another added: "When Trump and Elon broke up, now they are dating again😂😂😂."
A third said: "All the MAGAs ignore this tweet when you bring it up btw."
Some lawmakers are currently looking at levying legal action against the Trump administration and the likes of Attorney General Pam Bondi, claiming that Republicans failed to hit the 30-day deadline that was mandated for the full release of all things Epstein.
