Google Pixel owners can directly swap their devices for an iPhone now through the trade-in program, as Apple adds the newest phones from one of its biggest competitors in the market.
With iPhones only going up in price in recent years, it makes sense for most people to exchange their current device to bring down the price of a new one with Apple's trade-in program offering incredibly appealing deals.
These prices just went up thanks to a new update from Apple too, which is perfect timing on the eve of new iPhone announcements — and it might also be the right moment to switch over from Android too.
Thankfully Apple has made it easier than ever to make the jump, as the tech giant has added new devices outside of its ecosystem into the trade-in program, with the latest Google Pixel phones being introduced for the first time.
You can now trade a Google Pixel 9 for an iPhone
As reported by MacRumors, Apple has finally introduced a new generation of Google Pixel phone into its much-celebrated trade-in program, joining the likes of Samsung and previous Pixel gadgets when you're buying a new iPhone.

Previously people could trade in both the Pixel 7 and 8, alongside their respective 'Pro' variants, but Apple has finally added the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL — with all three taking a decent chunk of the price of a new device.
Here are the trade-in values you'll be able to get, although the price could decrease based on the phone's condition:
- Google Pixel 9: $210
- Google Pixel 9 Pro: $305
- Google Pixel 9 Pro XL: $315
That takes the price of a new iPhone 17 down to $589 when trading in a base Pixel 9, with the cost dropping to as low as $484 when going from a Pixel 9 Pro XL.
It's not bad for a phone that has been out for two years this month, and now we're gearing towards the next generation of Pixel phones, many Google fans might be thinking twice about whether they want to make the jump.
What other Android phones are eligible for trade-in?
As mentioned, Google isn't the only Android brand to be included in the Apple trade-in program, with OnePlus also joining Samsung in the small but beneficial collection of eligible devices.

Here are all of the other phones you can trade-in towards a new iPhone right now, including the previous Pixel options:
- Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G: $130
- Samsung Galaxy S22+ 5G: $85
- Samsung Galaxy S22 5G: $85
- Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G: $95
- OnePlus 13: $250
- OnePlus 13R: $165
- Google Pixel 8 Pro: $165
- Google Pixel 7 Pro: $95
- Google Pixel 7: $65
Both the two OnePlus phones and the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra have been added with a recent update, giving Android owners even more options to make the switch, and the existing Samsung phones also all got a price bump to make them more viable.
