iOS 27 leak reportedly confirms six new iPhone models
Apple fans have been anticipating the release of the company’s latest operating system update, iOS 27, since it was first announced back in June.
While a date for its launch has not yet been set, many are expecting it to drop in September, as per Apple’s usual schedule.
Now, a new leak has reportedly confirmed what all six of the new iPhone models will be.
According to Phone Arena, a beta version of the new iOS has basically confirmed what the models are for this year’s line up.

These devices are rumored to be gearing up for release next month:
- iPhone 18
- iPhone 18 Pro
- iPhone 18 Pro Max
- iPhone Air 2
- iPhone Ultra
- iPhone 18e
This comes after the codenames for the phones were included in iOS 27 beta 5, but the corresponding models were already revealed previously.
iOS 27 features coming to Apple
Fans are expecting the operating system update to introduce new features including a more capable, contextual Siri, which is integrated with AI, as well as redesigned icons, and new photo editing tools.
Apple has described the newly revamped Siri AI as a ‘profoundly more capable and conversational assistant with personal context understanding, broad world knowledge, and onscreen awareness’.
On the Apple website, it states: “Siri AI also includes a dedicated app for users to revisit conversations across their products, an expanded Visual Intelligence experience, and integrated tools for writing.
“With a bold new architecture uniquely designed to protect users’ privacy, Siri AI leverages the next generation of Apple Intelligence to bring state-of-the-art understanding and reasoning, along with powerful system-wide capabilities, to Apple’s operating systems. These features are available for developer testing starting today, and will be available as a beta to users later this year.”
Other additions include a new Photos app feature known as Captured by Me, which creates a dedicated view that shows all of the photos and videos you have personally taken using your iPhone’s camera.
That means the section won’t be full of screenshots, images you’ve downloaded or pictures someone has sent you in a group chat.
The feature can be found under the Utilities section of the Photos app, where it gives you a straightforward way to see the content you have actually captured yourself.
While it is a relatively simple addition, it’s set to be so useful for users that you might be left wondering why it wasn’t already there to begin with.
