Apple isn't 'playing' around, with WWDC 2025 future-proofing the company in a big way. The annual showcase shows what the tech giant has been working on, and even if we didn't get any new hardware, there was plenty going on under the hood.

The iPhone was again the star of the show, with Apple showing off a new Call Screening feature, redesigned Photos App, the glossy Liquid Glass, and more.

Even though some were underwhelmed by the reveal, others were happy with what was on show.

Another highlight was the new Games App, which incorporates the App Store's games, gives us a dedicated section for Apple Arcade, and now includes a Game Center social feature for the likes of leaderboards and challenges.

While the Games section is already the most popular part of the App Store, this overhaul gives us a more dedicated experience. It's hoped that gamers will be able to find new games easier than ever, finally fixing the Game Center. Better yet, Apple now a Play Together tab to encourage you to jump into multiplayer titles.

The new Games App will be preinstalled on the home screen for every device running iOS 26, iPadOS 26, and macOS Tahoe.

Loving the Games redesign, one person said: "Not a complete WOW, but it’s a start. It can only go up from here, right… 😂."

Saying what everyone else is thinking, someone else wrote: "Nice. Hopefully, gaming on Mac will be possible in the future."

A third simply said: "FINALLY! 👏🏽."

Even though Apple has come under fire for its sometimes pricy mobile games like the Resident Evil 4 remake, the company is keen to promote the experience of gaming on the go at a time the likes of the Nintendo Switch 2 are flying off the shelves.
