New iPhone 17 leaks have fans questioning Apple's design choices.
Ever since the first images of iPhone 17 dummy units leaked, many were quick to dub it the 'ugliest' iPhone yet. Then, further images showed Apple's 'wild' customisation options for the upcoming models and radical design changes.
Matters are made worse for those looking to upgrade their iPhones as President Trump's tariffs could seriously impact the costs. Regardless, Apple is reportedly planning to bump up iPhone prices later this year. Well, that’s according to The Wall Street Journal.

Ahead of WWDC in June and more announcements expected from Apple, iPhone users have spotted something off in the latest leaks from a phone case manufacturer.
The leaks came from phone case manufacturer OTOFLY, which bills itself as an 'experienced American brand seller in the field of iPhone accessories.' Instead of the iconic square module users grew to love, the iPhone 17 Air now features a long, vertical camera bar that looks suspiciously similar to Google’s Pixel lineup.
Meanwhile, the Pro model’s camera bump is much wider than expected, stretching across the entire back of the phone. Many users immediately spotted the pretty large gap between the camera lenses and the flash.

Sharing the leaks on Reddit, one user shared the caption: "I mean. Who is ever gonna buy that design??? The iPhone 17 Airs big gap is literally not needed lmao. 17 Pro Maxs redesign is just a big gap".
Someone else commented: "With the cases on, they look even more like Google Pixel phones."
Another added: "Empty space between the camera and the flash just looks so weird."
A third person argued: "That Pro is the ugliest phone I’ve ever seen. It’s enough to make me consider Android."

While the design isn't receiving much approval, the camera upgrades look promising. For one, analyst Jeff Pu claims that the front-facing camera across all iPhone 17 models will jump from the iPhone 16’s 12 megapixels to 24 megapixels.
Back in March, Pu wrote that the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max could feature a 48-megapixel telephoto rear camera, meaning it would be a significant boost from the 12 megapixels on the iPhone 16 Pro. This would bump the quality across all these iPhone Pro cameras, including the Fusion, ultrawide, and telephoto.
Furthermore, Apple Intelligence and AI are expected to be more prominent across the iPhone 17 series, and AppleInsider reported a likely battery boost specifically in the iPhone 17 Pro.
