The streaming age has left people in a perpetual search for their next television show, yet some might have already settled on Apple TV's latest release being the best of the year – bringing plenty of attention to an already hyped concept.
While Netflix remains the king of the streaming world in terms of subscribers, some consider its rivals to have a higher quality of output, even if the quantity isn't quite as substantial.
Apple might’ve been late to the streaming game when it debuted Apple TV+ in late 2019, but it's since solidified its place as one of the giants thanks to a steady flow of stellar shows to keep up with.
Some of the past couple of years' highest-rated shows have come from Apple's streaming service, with The Morning Show, Severance, The Studio, and many more pulling in awards alongside critical acclaim.

It seems like the streaming service's latest output gives subscribers another reason to keep their monthly payments rolling, as a show from the creator of Breaking Bad is already being pegged as 2025's best after the first couple of episodes.
Breaking Bad is television royalty at this point and was one of the shows that started the new 'golden age' in the late 2000s and early 2010s. Creator Vince Gilligan has seen similar success with the release of prequel series Better Call Saul on Netflix.
Gilligan is back with something completely new this time around, as Pluribus leans more into science fiction, following a woman who appears to be the only miserable person on Earth tasked with saving the world from an unexplained 'happiness' virus.

Starring Rhea Seehorn, who already showed her prowess as Kim Wexler in Better Call Saul, it seems like Pluribus is guaranteed to be another smash hit for Apple TV, and reviews are already pointing towards that ahead of its premiere.
"Not exaggerating when I say after I finished the first episode I immediately thought it might be the best show of the year," wrote Inverse's Hoai-Tran Bui on X, and that's sparked an immense amount of excitement among those who already couldn't wait for November 7 to roll around.
"They had me at Vince Gilligan. I don't need to know anything else about it," wrote one user in the replies, with another arguing that "Gilligan is incapable of missing. There's a better chance of the Sun not showing up tomorrow."
A third added that they "saw the first two episodes in an early preview and can't wait for more to see where this goes."
Those first two episodes of Pluribus will become available to watch for Apple TV subscribers on November 7, but from there, one episode will be released weekly on Fridays. The series finale and ninth episode are airing on Boxing Day — perfect to watch with your family over the holidays.
What's more, Pluribus has already been optioned for a second season, meaning that you don't need to have any fears that it'll be cancelled, and Apple TV is generally better for keeping shows going regardless.
