President Donald Trump has found another vocal critic, with yet more of Hollywood’s biggest names speaking out against him.

Returning to the White House for a second term in January 2025, the President of the United States has continued to divide with his plans and policies.

As well as being called out over his idea to build a Golden Dome of defense, his mission to claim Greenland for the USA, and clampdown on immigration through Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the POTUS has repeatedly been called into question by the general public and celebrities alike over his mentions in the Epstein files.

Now, Morgan Freeman has used his platform to call out the Commander-in-Chief, especially as the situation in Iran continues to escalate.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said that while Donald Trump is still hoping for a diplomatic resolution, Iran would be “very wise” to make a deal with the USA over Tehran's nuclear program.

CBS News reports that Trump has apparently discussed an attack timeline against Iran, although “Mr. Trump has not yet made a final decision about whether to strike.”

Considering all those fears about World War III, and the Doomsday Clock sitting closer to midnight than ever before, tensions are obviously running high.

Taking to X, Freeman shared a resurfaced post from 2011 where Trump wrote: “In order to get elected, @BarackObama will start a war with Iran.”

Freeman then added: “This you?”

Going against the 88-year-old star of The Shawshank Redemption, one critic said: “Trump is elected. Doesn’t need to start a war to get elected.”

Another added: “@POTUS ask directly. Afraid to tag him Morgan?”

Standing with Freeman, someone chimed in saying: “One of the best ‘This you?’”

A fourth concluded: “Trump is among the biggest hypocrites in this world 😂😂.”

Ahead of the 2024 election, there were debunked rumors that Freeman was supporting Trump, with a spokesperson for the Seven actor confirming he never made statements in favor of a second term. In fact, Freeman appeared in a 2024 video alongside Bill Pullman, Geena Davis, Michael Douglas, and Tony Goldwyn, where Joe Biden turned to these previous fictional presidents for advice.

Even before this, Freeman appeared in a video for the “Committee to Investigate Russia,” calling out Trump’s relationship with Vladimir Putin and even going on to suggest that Russia had attacked the U.S. election.

Notably, that video got Freeman permanently banned from Russia in 2022.

There’s a growing number of Hollywood A-listers speaking out against President Trump. Breaking Bad’s Giancarlo Esposito recently called for a ‘revolution’ due to the ICE situation, while Woody Harrelson told the Associated Press: “I wish there was a way to get rid of this son of a b*tch.”

Trump has previously rallied support from Oscar-winners, including Jon Voight and Mel Gibson, while other household names like Sylvester Stallone and Kelsey Grammer have also stood behind him.

On the other side, Oscar-winners ranging from Meryl Streep to Robert De Niro, Jamie Lee Curtis to Anne Hathaway have criticized him.

Either way, Morgan Freeman had made his feelings on the current situation in Iran and the President of the United States pretty clear.
