The truth has finally been revealed behind the viral claim that Iranian hackers are threatening to release incriminating videos of President Donald Trump.

This comes as a whole host of misinformation appears to be circulating on social media due to rising tensions between Iran and the US.

In one post published to X, formerly Twitter, by @YourAnonTV, it read: “BREAKING: Iranian hackers claim they now have videos of Trump with minors and will release them if the U.S. attacks Iran.”

In response, another user asked the platform’s AI assistant Grok about which hackers are claiming this.

Replying to the post, Grok wrote: “No specific hacker group has claimed to possess videos of Trump with minors. The post likely draws from 2024 incidents where Iranian hackers (e.g., Mint Sandstorm/APT42) leaked Trump campaign emails, but no verified reports mention videos or such threats tied to U.S. attacks on Iran. This appears unsubstantiated.”

More than three million pages of documents were released pertaining to late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein by the Department of Justice.

Many high profile individuals are named within the files, including Trump, but this does not automatically imply any wrongdoing.

Other celebrities have been named in the documents, including Whoopi Goldberg, who took to live TV to address this.

Speaking to the audience of The View on Tuesday (February 17), she said: “In the name of transparency, my name is in the files, yes.”

She went on to explain that this is because of an email sent to Jeffrey Epstein in May 2013, where someone wrote that Goldberg needed a ‘plane to get to Monaco’ to attend a charity event that was being thrown by Julian Lennon.

The person asked if Epstein could offer his own private jet for the event, to which he replied: “no thanks” [sic].

In response to this, co-host Joy Behar said: “So, in other words, anybody can be on this list?”

Goldberg replied, adding: “This is my point because when I tell you, people are trying to turn me into … I wasn’t his girlfriend, I wasn’t his friend. I was not only too old [for him], but it was at a time where this is just not, you used to have to have facts before you said stuff.”

She continued: “People actually believe that I was with him. Honey, come on. Every man I’ve been with, you’ve known about him because either the Enquirer wrote about it. People wrote about this stuff.

“So, no, I didn’t get on the plane because you know what I would have to do to get on the plane?”

As of November 2025, the Justice Department said that at least 1,000 women were victimized by Epstein, according to USA Today.
