Social media has been caught in a frenzy after a supposedly 'lost' episode of The Simpsons predicts that Donald Trump will die in a matter of weeks, with the truth surrounding the situation finally revealed.

The Simpsons has been known to offer a number of eerily correct predictions over the years, from Hollywood acquisitions to major sporting events, although by far its most famous 'prophecy' came in the show's eleventh season when a vision of the future saw Donald Trump become President of the United States.

This has led many to believe that there's countless secrets hidden within the iconic TV show, and the rise of artificial intelligence has only contributed to that as false prophecies spread across social media.

The latest of these involves President Trump once again, as users on TikTok and X believe they've stumbled onto the biggest news story of the year as an 'unaired' episode of The Simpsons appeared to predict his death.

It all stems from a video by TikTok user 'simpsonspredictfuture1', sharing artificially generated footage of a Simpsons episode where Trump dies on March 14 at precisely 7 a.m.

According to the video, Trump is shown "inside a luxurious room, surrounded by secret documents," perhaps alluding to the current accusations levied towards the president following the release of the Epstein files.

He is also shown "nervously talking on the phone when suddenly he collapses," with the video declaring the 'creepiest' part to be when "the camera focuses on a newspaper lying on the floor with the phrase, 'someone very powerful will be silenced'," before a 'strange shadow' appears in the glass behind the president.

They claim that the episode was never officially aired but "briefly circulated online," allowing people to see the mysterious prediction that could perhaps come true in just a few days.

As you can probably imagine this is completely made up with no evidence otherwise of a Simpsons episode including such scenes or a plotline even remotely similar to this.

What's more, it appears as if this account has tried this trick several times across the last few weeks, with multiple comments pointing out that the account said this would happen on February 26 earlier in the year.

That hasn't stopped people from hoping though, with one commenter writing: "Well The Simpsons get everything right, I hope this is too."

Another declared that the "Simpsons never lies. It was our future written already," and I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
