Elon Musk completely switches up with grovelling tweet following Trump's deportation threat

Musk might be playing it safe following Trump's threats

There has been some form of peace between Elon Musk and Donald Trump thanks to a new post on social media from the former, as many infer that the billionaire's 'grovelling' actions have come as a response to the president's deportation threat.

It's safe to say that things haven't exactly been great between former DOGE head Elon Musk and US President Donald Trump on social media, as their formerly inseparable bond appeared to disintegrate in front of the world's eyes.

While Musk began speaking out against key Trump administration policies in the weeks leading up to his official departure from government, all hell broke loose when they both began throwing wild accusations at each other, with Musk eerily vowing that the 'truth will come out'.

For the past few weeks the focus of their conflict has been the newly introduced 'Big Beautiful Bill', which raises America's debt ceiling and cuts regulation favoring electric vehicles - both of which have left the richest man in the world feeling unhappy.

Musk has since threatened to campaign against Republicans and even start his own political party, but Trump has hinted at a major move that could see the government attempt to shockingly deport Musk.

Some have argued that this has caused the South African-born businessman to back down from his antagonistic stance towards the government, and even offer his own 'grovelling' post as reconsiliation.

What was Musk's grovelling social media post?

As reported by the Express, less than a day after Trump suggested that he was looking into deporting Musk, the Tesla CEO congratulated the president on X for 'resolving' the conflict involving Israel and Palestine.

"Credit where credit is due," Musk wrote, adding that "@realDonaldTrump has successfully resolved several serious conflict around the world."

The post was accompanied by a screenshot of a Truth Social post from Trump, which detailed a meeting that the president's representatives had with Israel, where a 60 day ceasefire was agreed.

This came after Musk revealed that he would 'refrain' from escalating a response to Trump's deportation claims, so some might argue that he has changed his approach following the outburst in early June.

Many in the replies have still commented on Musk's seeming unwillingness to be combative with Trump though, with one reply writing: "Ahh, so you've back down huh? It was expected."

Another added that Musk is "such a kiss-ass," demanding that he "tell us more about the Epstein Files."
