Elon Musk vows to form his own political party following explosive falling out with Donald Trump

The world's richest man could be heading back into politics

In the words of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, "The girls are fighting"...again.

While Elon Musk and Donald Trump were once firm friends, the so-called First Buddy and President of the United States had an explosive falling out over the latter's One Big Beautiful Bill Act.

Elon Musk didn't hold back as he blew up the internet while claiming that Donald Trump was even named in the Epstein Files.

The POTUS largely kept his cool, but as the weeks have rolled on and Trump has been embroiled in more important issues like the Iran-Israel conflict, it doesn't look like Musk will be getting back on the Christmas card list anytime soon.

After things looked like they'd died down a little, Musk went on another charged rant on X. While he eventually backtracked on his wild claims last time and admitted he went too far, he's put some of the mud-slinging to the side as he claims Trump's bill will cost us millions of jobs.

Musk called the bill "utterly insane and destructive," but as Trump continues to try and get it passed, he's apparently got no bad blood toward the tech billionaire.

Even though he admitted they haven't spoken much since their fracas, Trump called Musk a 'wonderful guy'. We'll see how long that lasts if Musk becomes Trump's political rival.

Also over on X, Musk has vowed to create his own political party if the One Big Beautiful Bill Act gets passed.

A charged Musk wrote: "If this insane spending bill passes, the America Party will be formed the next day. Our country needs an alternative to the Democrat-Republican uniparty so that the people actually have a VOICE."

Earlier the same day, he put defenders of Trump's bill in his crosshairs as he fumed: "They will lose their primary next year if it is the last thing I do on this Earth."

He said that those who vote for the bill after campaigning to reduce spending will have their faces plastered on a poster of Pinocchio, accompanied by a caption saying 'LIAR' and text that reads: "Voted to increase America’s Debt by $5,000,000,000,000."

Given Musk's reputation for getting things done, it isn't hard to imagine him going through with his promise, but could we really see the America Party taking on the Republicans?

The fact that Musk was born in South Africa takes him out of the running for becoming President because the US Constitution states that only 'natural-born' US citizens can hold the position. Still, many think he was always angling for more power after he headed up the Department of Government Efficiency and became a regular sight at Trump's cabinet meetings. Musk had said he was leaving the White House behind to focus on his other business ventures like Tesla and SpaceX, but after clearly catching the politics bug during his time with the DOGE, he could soon be locking horns with President Trump across the Senate floor.
