A bizarre social media post has left a woman uninvited from a friend’s wedding after she spent $2,150.
Amy Dickinson took to social media to recall the ‘horror story’, describing the ordeal as ‘the meanest thing a girl has ever done to me’.
On TikTok, the woman shared how this was the first bachelorette party she had ever been to after the first of her friends got engaged.
Based in Queensland, Australia, Amy splashed out on $1,000 for flights and a hotel to Hamilton Island.

However, by the end of the weekend, she had been completely banned from attending the wedding - a destination event which she had already spent $1,150 on.
So what actually happened? According to Amy, she had spent the entire weekend ‘walking on eggshells’ as the ‘bridezilla’ was on a ‘weird power trip’.

Although, things took a turn when Amy said how the bride had put a phone ban in place during a group dinner.
At one point, a girl started taking photos of Amy and the bride reportedly began ‘losing it’.
Amy said: “She's like, ‘stop taking photos of me, I’m going to look gross anyway’ and the poor girl taking the photos ran to the bathroom crying and I had to console her.
“When we got back to the table, no one would talk to us. It was like we had been completely exiled from the group. Then the bride started going on about how she was so embarrassed that we had to leave dinner immediately.

“We called two cabs to go somewhere else - me and my friend who I comforted in the bathroom in one car and the rest of the party got in the other.
“We agreed to meet at this specific spot in town but when our cab rocked up, we realised the other cab wasn’t there and the girls were nowhere to be found. We started calling them but no one picked up their phones.”
When they eventually found the group at a different restaurant, Amy tried to de-escalate the situation.
She continued: “I pulled up a seat next to the bride... I started to publicly apologize in front of the group. I was like, ‘look babe if you think I was choosing my other friend over you when I went to the bathroom to console her that’s not what was happening. I just wanted to make sure she was okay’.

“The [bride's mum] stands up and says, ‘I’ll handle this!’
“She leans across the table and she’s pointing at me and was like, ‘how dare you upload a photo before my daughter at her hens party!’
“I was like, ‘what? All of a sudden, this fight is about Instagram?’

“I didn’t understand that this was a protocol. If it were, she should have said so and I wouldn’t have uploaded before her. But the photo I had uploaded had nothing to do with the hen’s party itself, it was just a beautiful scenic shot.”
But the damage was done and after the bride started ‘screaming’ at Amy, she was ‘shocked and appalled by her behavior’.
Back home, the bride called Amy to inform her that she ‘didn’t feel comfortable’ having her at the wedding.
In response, Amy said: “Thank god. Being stranded on yet another island with you is my idea of hell. Of course, I’m not going to your wedding, I couldn’t think of anything worse.”
