People have slammed the new Trump phone as being a ‘scam’ after they spotted a concerning detail in a social media post that has since been deleted.

The ‘Trump Mobile’ was announced in June with its first model being coined as the ‘T1 phone’.

The First Family has branded the device as being the mobile solution for ‘real Americans’, despite reports that the phone is being made in China.

The T1 Phone will set customers back by $499, with it being run on the Trump Mobile network and its ‘47 Plan’, where the monthly cost will be set at $47.45.

This is in reference to Trump’s stints as both the 45th and 47th president of the US.

However, it looks like some people aren’t too happy with the upcoming device after its launch was teased this week.

In a post, Trump Mobile wrote: “The wait is almost over!”

On social media, two very different looking phones are shown that appear to have been photoshopped, with one looking like an iPhone 16 and the other resembling a Galaxy S25.

To make things even more confusing, in a post on X, formerly Twitter, the Trump device seems to show a logo for Spigen, a phone case maker, on the back of the phone.

In response, the Spigen X account wrote: “?? bro what?”

In a separate post, the firm added: “lawsuit incoming.”

Many people have taken to social media themselves to share their own reactions, with one user writing on Instagram: “Why does the appearance keep changing??”

And another added: “Trump Mobile's fake iPhone is now a fake S25 Ultra. We still don’t know what the T1 Phone will look like, but it certainly won’t be this.”

What is Trump Mobile and the T1 Phone?

As reported by the Independent, the Trump Organization - which is now run by the president’s eldest sons, Donald Jr. and Eric - has announced an all-American-made Trump-branded ‘T1 Phone’, alongside its own bespoke network named ‘Trump Mobile’.

The gold-finished device has a similar visual design to that of the iPhone.

Donald Trump Jr. said: “Trump Mobile is going to change the game, we’re building on the movement to put America first, and we will deliver the highest levels of quality and service.”

The president’s son added that ‘our company is based right here in the United States because we know it's what our customers want and deserve’.
