Leaving a year of negative press, public falling outs, and volatile stock markets behind, Elon Musk is left beaming from ear to ear as he reaches for the stars once again.

Despite a rough ride in the first half of 2025, Elon Musk remains the world's richest man and is well on the way to becoming the first trillionaire. His short-lived time as the head of the Department of Government Efficiency threw his finances into temporary turmoil, but after leaving politics behind, he's refocusing his efforts on ventures including Neuralkink, Tesla, and SpaceX.

Out of them all, SpaceX has one of the most exciting futures, helping put man back on the Moon for the first time since 1972.

Beyond that, Musk has grand plans to blast off to Mars, which he's reiterated following the successful 11th test launch of the SpaceX Starship.

The October 13 mission saw the most powerful and largest rocket ever built blast off from Texas. Things went smoothly, and aside from one raptor engine failing on the boostback burn, the ship also managed to avoid the heat damage of the previous mission.

NASA is in desperate need of the 403-foot Starship, with the reusable vehicle helping get the Artemis III mission crew from lunar orbit down to the surface of the Moon and back up.

As for the Mission 11 livestream, Mr. Musk awkwardly crashed proceedings and enthusiastically jumped up behind two employees. One awkwardly says, "We’ve got a special guest here,” as Musk is seen grinning and gushing about the mission.

Saying, "S'up guys," Musk's brief interruption was filled with his typically bouncy personality that he was known for before seemingly being worn down by his time at the White House.

Saying it's the first time he'll be standing out in the garden to watch a rocket take off, the tech billionaire said he was looking forward to experiencing a more 'visceral' launch.

Even though Musk remains a divisive figure, the comments were filled with people saying they were glad to see him back doing what he does best and enjoying his work.

One person said: "This is where Elon belongs. Not in politics. Dude looks happy."

Another added: "What a fantastic success!!! Elon Musk was so happy, with such a beautiful vibe, that I think it resonated in his work, in the success of the incredible SpaceX team."

A third concluded: "Glad Elon's smiling face is back in place! The world needs his genius and happy vibe in space."

We'll admit that the more chipper Musk looks like a new man compared to the black-eyed and black hat-wearing DOGE head who left his position back in May. No matter what you think of Elon Musk, there's no denying he looks happier now he's back at the reins of SpaceX.
