Elon Musk has made a major announcement regarding humanity’s expansion into space after his firm had a huge breakthrough.
This comes after SpaceX successfully completed its latest rocket test flight, which saw it travel halfway across the world while releasing mock satellites.
The Starship rocket had failed six out of its 10 previous tests, and had even exploded to the point where multiple flights were forced to stay on the ground to avoid debris.
But it seems like it was 11th time lucky for Musk’s spacecraft as the billionaire continues to push towards putting humans on Mars.

Celebrating the success on his own social media platform X, formerly Twitter, the tech mogul wrote: “Starship will make life multiplanetary.”
Many took to the comment section to share their own reactions to the news, with one user writing: “That’s the goal, Elon’s basically building the Noah’s Ark of rockets. Either we figure out Mars… or we’re all stuck here arguing on X while the planet burns.”

Another said: “Bro lost all hope in helping save this planet so he started the plot from that one movie where the asteroid hits us LOL.”
A third person joked: “Yes, it will get Mars pregnant with mankind.”
And a fourth added: “So now we are on mission to hunt and destroy another planet.”
Musk has previously discussed his hopes to be able to establish a colony of humans on Mars by the mid 2030s, with plans to send millions of tons of resources to the Red Planet in a bid to ‘warm up’ the temperature’.

Due to the way both Earth and Mars orbit around the sun, it will only be possible to launch a mission to the neighboring planet once every 26 months, with the next window opening next year.
Earlier this year, Musk spoke about his Martian dreams during an interview with Fox News presenter Sean Hannity.
During the chat, the SpaceX founder shared the firm’s latest breakthroughs with its Starship rocket.

Musk said: “Starship is the first rocket that has the potential to make life multi-planetary, make us a multi-planet civilization for the first time in the history of Earth and that’s truly profound.”
The billionaire also said: “We are going to be able to take astronauts to Mars, in fact we want to take anyone who goes to Mars and ultimately build a self-sustaining civilization on Mars.
“That is the long-term goal of the company, to make life multi-planetary.”
