New information has emerged from a bombshell United States Department of Defense report that reveals a 'gigantic cover up' at Area 51 that puts previous alien conspiracies in jeopardy.
From the 20th century onwards many across the world have become obsessed with alien and extraterrestrial life, especially as efforts towards space exploration began to ramp up.
UFO and alien spotting has become a popular pastime for countless Americans, and supposed new evidence seems to crop up every single year that seemingly continues speculation that there is life beyond Earth.

For many though the heart of all alien conspiracies is the secret US base known as Area 51 in southern Nevada, as the mystique of this hidden area and suggestions that it's the home of all alien testing and communications has captured the imagination of many.
'Dystopian' triangle towers spotted inside Area 51 have left many feeling creeped out, and there have even been plans circulating for millions to storm the secret base in search of answers.

However, as per the Daily Mail, a new bombshell report has dropped that reveals the true purpose of Area 51, and many have been left shocked at the reveal of what's being called a 'gigantic cover up'.

It was heavily rumored that more would be revealed about Area 51 this year, especially as it's only been little more than a decade since the CIA officially recognized the existence of the base, but few were expecting what has emerged from Department of Defense reports.
According to the report, the US government conducted a deliberate disinformation campaign during the Cold War in order to conceal the true purpose of Area 51, which was being used for secret military tests and classified weapons development.
It alleges that a US Air Force colonel handed out fake photos of UFOs flying around Area 51 at a nearby bar, which then prompted many to speculate that the base was home to secret extraterrestrial testing that the government wanted to conceal from the American public.
It remains true that something was being deliberately concealed, but its unfortunately nothing to do with life beyond Earth.

It's easy for some to misconstrue some of the tests as alien life though, as included within these experiments were stealth spy planes that look suspiciously like UFOs to the untrained eye.

There have also been secret programs organized by the Pentagon that were unknown to congress that were supposedly operating and managing unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAPs), which appeared to amount to cloaked flying objects that could very well be spy planes.
Understandably many remain skeptical that this 'reveal' isn't just another cover up to push people further away from the truth about aliens, as what would prove to be more effective than claiming aliens as a cover up to obscure the real truth about extraterrestrial experiments?

It's probably more likely that it was indeed an advanced military program that the US didn't want its enemies to be aware of though, but there's little fun in letting that dream of hidden aliens die out.
