People in shock at what was inside gift bags handed out at Trump's $148,000,000 crypto event

It cost investors around $1.78 million to secure a seat at the dinner

A luxurious black-tie gala held at Donald Trump’s Virginia golf club last Thursday sparked major disappointment as people were stunned by what was inside their gift bags.

The event brought the top 220 investors in Trump’s meme cryptocurrency coin ($TRUMP) together and was hosted at Trump National Golf Club in Washington D.C.

Attendees had spent a combined total of $148 million, with individual investments ranging as high as $1.78 million to secure a spot at the dinner.

What was inside the Trump gift bags?

The gift bags reportedly contained ‘Fight Fight Fight-themed hats and posters’ alongside a 'collectible plastic card’.

Meanwhile, the four biggest investors in Trump’s crypto coin allegedly received limited edition Trump Tourbillon watches, each valued at around $100,000.

Two watches were also given away through a raffle, according to some sources.

One TikToker Nicholas Pinto, who said he spent $480,000 on the $TRUMP coin and ranked #72 on the investor leaderboard, showed off his haul online.

"If you guys didn't know, I was number 72 on the 'Trumpcoin' leaderboard and it cost me $480,000 and this is all I got," he said in a video posted after the event. Pinto also showed his 'Fight, Fight, Fight' cap with a photo of Trump embroiled onto it.

What was on the menu at Trump’s crypto event?

The dinner was marketed as 'the most exclusive invitation in the world,' promising an elegant evening with the president. Options reportedly included a pan-seared halibut with citrus reduction, an organic salad, garlic mashed potatoes, and a filet mignon with demi-glace.

However, Pinto shared a photograph of a warm lava cake to X, and reportedly told WIRED: “It was the worst food I’ve ever had at a Trump golf course. The only good thing was bread and butter.”

Also speaking to CNBC, he added: “The food sucked. [I] wasn’t given any drinks other than water or Trump’s wine. I don’t drink, so I had water. My glass was only filled once.”

Another attendee reviewed the meal, claiming that it was ‘OK, but not top-class’.

Where was Trump at the event?

To make matters worse, people attended the event to hopefully have some one-on-one time with the president, but that also didn't pan out as expected.

After Trump arrived at the golf course via his presidential helicopter, he delivered a 25-minute by-the-numbers speech. He only briefly touched on cryptocurrency, calling it a space with a 'great future.'

Trump said in one clip shared online: “I think you’re on the cutting edge. Everyone thinks it is just the beginning. And I can just say that we are, we’re believers in the whole administration. We’re big believers.”

Since launching the $TRUMP coin in January, Trump’s associated businesses have reportedly earned over $300 million in sales and $43 million in fees, according to a report by The Washington Post.
