Crypto investors have slammed President Donald Trump’s event after they each paid $1.78 million to attend.

Investors have all shelled out a total of $148 million on the president’s meme coin $TRUMP.

But despite the enormous price tag, attendees haven’t appeared to be impressed by the event that apparently served ‘airline food’.

Hosted at the Trump National Golf Club in Washington DC last Thursday (May 22), the event gave the crypto investors the chance to spend an hour in the company of Trump.

With each attendee having splashed out an average of $1.7 million to be there, here is everything that went down at the bash.

What was on the menu at Trump’s crypto event?

The event was first announced last month as ‘the most exclusive invitation in the world’ offering the chance to ‘have dinner with President Trump’.

It was only available to the top 220 $TRUMP meme coin holders, with one investor sharing with WIRED that they bought $300,000 in $TRUMP to nab a seat at the dinner.

Each table seated 10 under crystal chandeliers and at first glance, the menu seems pretty delicious.

Options reportedly included a pan-seared halibut with citrus reduction, organic salad, garlic mashed potatoes, a filet mignon with demi glaze, with TikToker Nicholas Pinto sharing a photograph of a warm lava cake to X, formerly Twitter.

However, not all was as it seemed as Pinto told WIRED: “It was the worst food I’ve ever had at a Trump golf course. The only good thing was bread and butter.”

Also speaking to NBC, he added: “The food sucked. [I] wasn’t given any drinks other than water or Trump’s wine. I don’t drink, so I had water. My glass was only filled once.”

Another attendee reviewed the meal, claiming that it was ‘OK, but not top-class’.

A CNBC correspondent said that he’d seen ‘better food’ on an airline, as quoted by the Telegraph.

Trump’s ‘25-minute speech’ and dancing to ‘YMCA’

Trump reportedly spent just an hour at the event in total, which included a speech that lasted around 25 minutes.

Apparently the POTUS also treated guests to a little wiggle to his signature ‘YMCA’ by The Village People as he left the stage.

Inside the gift bags from Trump’s crypto event

If guests thought the meal was underwhelming, then they weren’t prepared for the gift bags.

The gift bags are reported as containing ‘Fight Fight Fight-themed hats and posters’ alongside ‘a collectible plastic card’.

The four largest investors in Trump’s crypto coin are reported as having received limited edition Trump Tourbillon watches, with each watch being priced at around $100,000.

And two lucky attendees also got the chance to win one via a raffle too, according to sources.

LADbible Group has contacted Trump’s representatives for a comment.
