What Ethan Klein stands to give up as he moves to cut financial ties with H3 businesses

Last week, Ethan Klein announced his plans to cut financial ties with H3 businesses, including the likes of the H3 Podcast and clothing line Teddy Fresh.

This came after his wife and business partner, Hila Klein, took to Instagram on Friday (October 23) to allege that Ethan had been having ‘an affair for over six months’ in a post that was later reposted by Ethan himself.

Many fans were left shocked as the couple had recently celebrated over 20 years together, with Hila going on to write: “I am in survival mode, trying to navigate separation, co-parenting, and unthinkable heartbreak.”

Since then, Ethan has shared updates via his own Instagram, revealing in a Story that he is working with Hila to ‘urgently remove’ his ownership and financial stakes in any podcasts, Teddy Fresh, makeup line Teddy Glow, and any other joint ventures the couple have.

The move could mark a huge change for the businesses that the pair have built together, with Ethan indicating that he wants to ensure fans can continue supporting Hila and the wider team without financially benefiting him.

However, exactly what that separation would look like remains unclear, with questions still surrounding the ownership structure of the companies and whether any changes have been finalized.

The H3 Podcast is one of the couple’s best-known ventures, and after initially launching in 2016, it has since built a substantial online following through its long-running video and podcast content.

Alongside the podcast, Ethan and Hila are associated with Teddy Fresh, the clothing brand they co-founded, and Teddy Glow, their makeup venture.

The proposed separation raises questions about how the businesses will operate going forward, particularly where Ethan’s ownership interests overlap with Hila’s and the wider teams behind the ventures.

Some fans have expressed hopes that the podcast could continue without Ethan, as the crew members behind the show have become popular co-hosts in their own right, earning their own fans through their appearances.

On social media, the crew have also spoken out, taking to the official H3 Podcast Instagram page to say: “We are all shocked, angry and heartbroken to learn about Ethan’s ongoing affair.

“As soon as we found out, we all agreed: we would not continue working with Ethan involved or profiting in any way. We don’t yet know what that means for the future.”

The statement went on to share that the crew ‘stands with Hila’, adding that they will ‘support her every step of the way’.

It’s not yet clear how the proposed changes would be implemented across the couple’s businesses, or whether any transfers have been completed.
