Travelers may now need to pay bonds up to a whopping $15,000 in order to enter the US after new visa rules have come into place.

This will impact visitors of the US traveling in from dozens of countries around the world.

Since President Donald Trump re-entered the White House to embark on his second term in the Oval Office, he has been busy tightening the rules around legal immigration.

Now, a new rule is being enforced at the border which means some people will need to pay either $5,000, $10,000, or up to a whopping $15,000 before they will be issued a visa.

According to the authorities, this has been implemented to stop people from overstaying their visas before the money will be returned to the person if they leave the US before their visa expiration.

However, if they overstay their welcome, the money will not be returned.

So, which countries does this new rule affect? So far, 12 countries are on the list and these include Cambodia, Ethiopia, Grenada, Georgia, Lesotho, Mauritius, Mozambique, Mongolia, Nicaragua, Papua New Guinea, Tunisia and the Seychelles.

But that’s not all, because these are just the latest nations to be placed under strict conditions when citizens want to visit the US.

In fact, 38 other countries were added into restricted visa conditions earlier on in the year.

This news comes weeks after Trump first announced his aims to ensure that Iran ‘cannot continue to arm, fund and direct terrorist armies outside of their borders’, revealing that the US had assumed ‘major combat operations’ against Iran.

Both the US and Israel have continued their airstrikes on Iran in recent weeks, with Trump writing multiple posts on social media seemingly threatening more action.

In one post, he wrote: “If Iran does anything that stops the flow of Oil within the Strait of Hormuz, they will be hit by the United States of America TWENTY TIMES HARDER than they have been hit thus far.

“Additionally, we will take out easily destroyable targets that will make it virtually impossible for Iran to ever be built back, as a Nation, again — Death, Fire, and Fury will reign upon them — But I hope, and pray, that it does not happen! This is a gift from the United States of America to China, and all of those Nations that heavily use the Hormuz Strait.

“Hopefully, it is a gesture that will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP.”
