Viewers are praising a two minute long video that guarantees to fix water damaged iPhone speakers.

As much as we try to prevent it, dropping our phone into water happens to the best of us.

Whether that’s into the bath by mistake or knocking a glass of water over it, or - even worse - watching it plunge into the toilet, a lot of iPhones suffer water damage after mishaps.

Many of us have left our phones overnight in a bag of rice, hoping for a miracle when we wake up in the morning that our phone will magically be working again.

However, it seems that there is an even easier fix that takes just two minutes to sort out.

One video uploaded to YouTube claims that it is “guaranteed” to remove water from your phone.

In the description, it read: “Sound wave to remove water from mobile speaker. This sound will eject water from your phone speaker and completey remove water from your mobile speakers.

“This is the best way to get water out of your phone speaker.”

The video plays out a sound vibrations that supposedly draws the water out of your phone.

Speaking to The Verge, Eric Freeman, a senior director of research at Bose said: “The lowest tone that that speaker can reproduce, at the loudest level that it can play.

“That will create the most air motion, which will push on the water that’s trapped inside the phone.”

Carsten Frauenheim, a repairability engineer at iFixit added: “It’s just a specific oscillating tone that pushes the water out of the speaker grilles.

“Not sure how effective the third-party versions are for phones since they’re probably not ideally tuned? We could test.”

It seems to have worked for a lot of people after the video gained over 45 million views, with many taking to the YouTube comment section to share their experiences.

One user wrote: “I was at the pool, and the waterproof case decided not to be waterproof anymore but hey the phone is still functional and now I'm a part of this awesome community.”

Another said: “Dropped my phone in the shower today and I was told to play this so it gets rid of water in my speakers. I did not know that this is a whole community. I must say this is very wholesome. Nice to meet y’all!!”

A third posted: “I came here full of anxiety and dread about my phone being water damaged and I’ve left feeling like part of an amazing and wholesome community. Wow, can’t wait to return!!”

And a fourth joked: “God puts water in our phones to we can meet again in comments.”
