With Apple fans highly anticipating the unveiling of the new iPhone lineup, the tech giant has finally confirmed a date for its annual event.
Apple has now confirmed that a major iPhone announcement will be taking place on September 9 as part of its new ‘surprise and shine’ keynote address.
Users have been speculating as to when the announcement would be made, with people hoping to catch a glimpse of the iPhone 18 line up as well as the rumored iPhone Ultra, which is reportedly Apple’s first foldable device.
How to watch the Apple iPhone event
The event will be hosted at the Steve Jobs theater in Apple Park, Cupertino, California, but fans will be able to watch live from around the world.

This is because the keynote address will be livestreamed from 10am PT, with viewers being able to watch on YouTube.
Unlike previous years, it is not thought that Apple CEO Tim Cook will host the event as he is due to step down from his role on September 1 and will be succeeded by John Ternus.
It is hoped that the iPhone 18 will be unveiled, with much speculation swirling as to how much the upcoming smartphone might be priced at. Some have even suggested that the price tag could shatter the $1,999 barrier.
While the iPhone 17 Pro starts at $1,099 and the iPhone 17 Pro Max starts at $1,199, the newer version of the smartphone could end up being launched with a significant price hike.
Siri AI is coming to the iPhone
Alongside upcoming announcements, Apple revealed its revamped digital assistant earlier this year, which will be compatible with the new iPhone.
According to the tech giant, a new version of Siri will be a ‘profoundly more capable and conversational assistant with personal context understanding, broad world knowledge, and onscreen awareness’.

On the website, Apple explains: “Siri AI can help users find what they need in the moment, from answering questions from the web on virtually any topic, to surfacing relevant information from a user’s personal messages, emails, photos, and more.
“Siri AI also includes a dedicated app for users to revisit conversations across their products, an expanded Visual Intelligence experience, and integrated tools for writing.
“With a bold new architecture uniquely designed to protect users’ privacy, Siri AI leverages the next generation of Apple Intelligence to bring state-of-the-art understanding and reasoning, along with powerful system-wide capabilities, to Apple’s operating systems. These features are available for developer testing starting today, and will be available as a beta to users later this year.”
