Many Apple fans are highly anticipating a major announcement in the coming weeks as to what is next for the tech giant.
This is due to the company’s usual release schedules, with September marking an important month in previous years for new announcements.
Now, iPhone users are speculating whether Apple could be set to formally set the date for the unveiling of its latest smartphone lineup, and leaks could point towards the date being September 9.
This comes after Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman revealed that Apple could be planning to send out invitations for its annual event this week.

It is thought that this event will mark the unveiling of Apple’s latest lineup of iPhones including the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.

Rumors also suggest that the firm could be set to release its first ever foldable device, which will reportedly be known as the iPhone Ultra.
iPhone 18 rumored pricing
There has also been speculation as to how much the upcoming iPhone might be priced at, with some suggesting that the iPhone 18 Pro Max could come with a price tag that shatters the $1,999 barrier.
While the iPhone 17 Pro starts at $1,099 and the iPhone 17 Pro Max starts at $1,199, the newer version of the smartphone could end up being launched with a significant price hike.
Some people have taken to social media to speculate whether the iPhone 18 will have a $300 increase, meaning some of the phones with larger storage could hit the $1,999 threshold.
On Reddit, one user wrote: “Given what is going on with memory pricing and Apple wanting to retain margin this wouldn’t be surprising at all.”
And another said: “Already 1300 euros in the Netherlands so will probably be even higher.”
Siri AI is coming to the iPhone
According to the tech giant, a new version of Siri will soon be available as a ‘profoundly more capable and conversational assistant with personal context understanding, broad world knowledge, and onscreen awareness’.
On the website, Apple explains: “Siri AI can help users find what they need in the moment, from answering questions from the web on virtually any topic, to surfacing relevant information from a user’s personal messages, emails, photos, and more.

“Siri AI also includes a dedicated app for users to revisit conversations across their products, an expanded Visual Intelligence experience, and integrated tools for writing.
“With a bold new architecture uniquely designed to protect users’ privacy, Siri AI leverages the next generation of Apple Intelligence to bring state-of-the-art understanding and reasoning, along with powerful system-wide capabilities, to Apple’s operating systems. These features are available for developer testing starting today, and will be available as a beta to users later this year.”
