After Apple unveiled a range of new products yesterday (September 9) as part of its ‘Surprise and shine’ event, users have been left shocked at the price tag on one particular item.

This news comes after years of speculation that Apple had been working on the product for some time.

Okay, so with $800 left in the hypothetical budget, what's next? The iPad Mini 7 was released two years ago and comes with updated electronics that includes the Apple A17 Pro chip, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, faster 10 Gbps USB-C, and support for the Apple Pencil Pro.

This item comes with a price tag of $499, meaning you could buy this iPad Mini and the iPhone 18 Pro for a total of $1,698, leaving us with a budget of $301.

Of course, if we’re buying the iPad Mini 7 then it stands to reason we could also pick up an Apple Pencil Pro which, according to Apple, offers even more ‘magical capabilities to help bring your ideas to life’.

This includes a sensor when you squeeze it which brings up a new palette so that you can quickly swap tools, colors, and line weights.
