Just in case you might think that Donald Trump and Elon Musk could one day put their differences aside and return to their BFF status, the pair look like they're going to continue burning bridges and salting the earth that was once their friendship.
It had all started so well, with Elon Musk accompanying Donald Trump on the campaign trail and donating a whopping $288 million to his presidency run.
In return, Musk got himself a cushy (if unpaid) job running the Department of Government Efficiency, as well as billions in governmental contracts for the likes of SpaceX.
While we always knew Musk's involvement with the government would be temporary, he departed the White House in explosive style. Calling out the President's One Big Beautiful Act, Musk then went on an X rampage where he even accused Trump's name being hidden in the redacted Epstein files.

Even though he later admitted he'd gone 'too far', he's since doubled down and continued to make his feelings clear.
An enraged Musk might've been a staunch Republican Party supporter, but having sided with the Democrats in the past, he's now vowed to start his own 'America Party' as an independent option.
President Trump has laughed off Musk's ambitions, and taking to social media, he's branded the world's richest man a 'trainwreck'. Before boarding Air Force One, he briefly spoke to reporters and reiterated that he doesn't have much faith in Musk's political ambitions: "I think it's ridiculous to start a third party. It's always been a two-party system and I think starting a third party just adds to the confusion."

Posting on Truth Social, the POTUS then mused: "I am saddened to watch Elon Musk go completely ‘off the rails,’ essentially becoming a TRAIN WRECK over the past five weeks. He even wants to start a Third Political Party, despite the fact that they have never succeeded in the United States."
Musk recently said his new party might back a presidential candidate at some point in the future, although "the focus for the next 12 months is on the House and the Senate."
Trump maintains that Musk's falling out comes from his bill ending tax breaks on electric vehicles. Claiming he'd always opposed Musk's mandate, Trump added: "People are now allowed to buy whatever they want - Gasoline Powered, Hybrids (which are doing very well), or New Technologies as they come about - No more EV Mandate."

Considering Musk has vowed to put his massive fortune behind attacks on those who voted through the bill, he could soon be digging deep in those deep pockets.
Musk has plenty on his plate already as he tries to run the likes of Tesla and SpaceX, and while he promised to return his focus to these ventures, it seems he might've caught the politics bug.
Even if he can't run for President of the United States himself, we're sure that won't stop him from trying to get back into the White House in some form.
