A murderer has finally been caught after Google Maps revealed the moment he loaded the body into a car.

It turns out that Google Maps can show you more than just directions from A to B, it can also point you towards the answer to a long standing mystery.

Images were captured of a man who appears to be loading a body bag into the trunk of a car and Spanish police say it’s a ‘decisive’ clue after a man’s disappearance.

It was a year ago when a Cuban man was reported missing in the north-central Spanish municipality of Tajueco.

And it looks like the case might finally be solved all thanks to images caught by Google.

Other footage that can be seen on Street View shows a man at the top of a street who is pushing a wheelbarrow.

Inside the wheelbarrow appears to be a large white package.

As a result, Spanish police have been able to launch a murder investigation and have reportedly found the man’s dismembered remains that were buried in a nearby cemetery.

Police have since arrested two people in connection with the man’s death, one of whom is reportedly the wife of the deceased man.

One of the cemetery workers spoke to El Pais after being shown the pictures from Google Maps.

They said: “My goodness, the things that happen in the villages.”

The incriminating images went viral with many people taking to social media to share their shock over the mystery.

With one person posting the Google Maps photos on Reddit, others took to the comment section to share their thoughts.

On the social media platform, one user wrote: “Imagine just minding your own business while shoving a body in your trunk when a car with a s*** load of cameras on its roof drives by you…”

A second said: “Imagine his Google Maps app review.. worst app ever, ruined my life.”

A third person commented: “You know that Google car driver was s****ing their pants when they saw this.”

A fourth joked: “This is why I move my bodies at night. What an amateur!”

A fifth said: “Bruh at this point Geoguessers are legit homicide detectives.”

And a sixth person added: “How did he not see the big 360 degree camera behind him?”

This isn’t the first cold case to have been solved with the help of Google.

The chance-spotting of the vehicle on Google Earth solved a 22-year-long mystery of the disappearance of William Moldt who never returned home from a nightclub in 1997.
