Kid Rock didn't exactly cover himself in glory on Sunday night following a heavily-criticized performance at Turning Point USA's 'All-American' Super Bowl half time show, prompting the star to respond to the outrage and allegations in a new interview.
While over 20 million might have tuned into the so-called 'mind-blowing' alternate half time show on Sunday, they were greeted with a less-than-stellar performance from the headliner.
MAGA music 'stars' like Brantley Gilbert, Gabby Barrett, and Lee Brice were present on Erika Kirk's Turning Point USA half time show, yet it was Kid Rock that the audience were seemingly most excited for, despite appearing after Super Bowl headliner Bad Bunny had already left the stage at the Levi's Stadium.
Even the most ardent of Kid Rock fans won't be able to hide how embarrassing the performance quickly became though, as the musician's audio track appeared to be unsynchronized with his own actions, leading to allegations of lip syncing.

People on social media have branded the set 'awful', with some even calling him 'Hillbilly Vanilli', and Republican viewers will probably be grateful that President Donald Trump seemingly chose not to tune in on Sunday.
Following the outrage, Kid Rock himself has chosen to speak up in a new interview with Fox News, offering his own perspective as to why the performance turned out the way that it did, as shared by the Independent.
He shared that he's going to redo the performance live from his living room to 'prove the haters wrong', but when asked about his first performance – which was noted as being 'out of whack' – Kid Rock explained:
"Yes so it was out of sync [...] number one, if it would have been lip syncing like people are trying to, the left are trying to throw me under the bus again, mainstream media, social media tries to amplify it, it would have been super easy to sync it up if it was pre-recorded."
There has been speculation surrounding the pre-recorded nature of the show prior to this comment, but this all-but-confirms it, indicating that it was perhaps an issue with the edit and not with the performance itself.

"It was very difficult for the Turning Point production crew, who, by the way, I can't say enough good things about, but this was very difficult for them," Kid Rock continued.
"I'm jumping around the stage like a rabid monkey, rapping my song, and I'm taking breaths and my DJ's filling in the other parts of it, I even told them when I saw the rough cut, I was like 'you guys gotta work on that sync, it's off'.
"So it's just a syncing issue that they had, and I know they tried to get it right, it was very difficult, but I'll answer all the haters tomorrow."
This doesn't exactly reflect well on Turning Point USA's capacity to put on a good show though, especially considering they've already announced their intention to run again next year, so anyone tuning in again better hope that they've figured things out.
