Elon Musk has shared an eye-opening simulation of what future human life on the Moon could really look like.
While NASA's historic Artemis II mission prepares for a now-postponed March launch following a major technical setback during its wet dress rehearsal, Elon Musk is already looking ahead to what permanent human settlement on the Moon might entail.
NASA's Christina Koch, Victor Glover and Reid Wiseman, and Canadian Space Agency's Jeremy Hansen are set to travel farther into space than ever before as they fly around the Moon and back in the first crewed lunar mission in over 50 years.
The four-man crew will lift off aboard a Space Launch System rocket inside an Orion spacecraft from Florida's Kennedy Space Center where they will spend 10 days in space before returning to Earth.

The launch was originally scheduled for 6 February, but it was pushed to 8 February due to bad weather.
But after its recent rehearsal, NASA administrator Jared Isaacman has moved the mission out of the February launch window and confirmed it has been delayed until at least March.
Meanwhile, Musk is taking to social media to support the notion of colonising the Moon.
The tech billionaire has long fixated on the Red Planet, previously claiming his SpaceX company could establish 'self-sustaining life' on Mars within 20 to 30 years.
But in recent news, the South African is shifting his interests over to the Moon instead, with some critics now branding him a 'fraud'.
Writing on his own platform X on 8 February, Musk wrote: “For those unaware, SpaceX has already shifted focus to building a self-growing city on the Moon, as we can potentially achieve that in less than 10 years, whereas Mars would take 20+ years.
Now, the Tesla and SpaceX founder reposted an AI simulation clip of life on the Moon from DogeNorway, captioning: "Civilization on the Moon!"
The viral 10-second clip shows Tesla Cybertrucks pulling up to domes filled with crops and produce, with glass enclosures visible in the background showing some form of sustainable agriculture.
Everyone's dressed in spacesuits, humanoid robots wander through the scene, and children run around playing outside as if it's just another day.
The clip has already racked up over 14 million views in less than 24 hours, with users flooding the comments section to add their own takes.
Some jokingly added McDonald's buildings into the lunar landscape to replicate Earth life, while others backed Musk's claim that establishing a Moon colony would serve as a stepping stone toward the ultimate goal of reaching Mars.
"Maybe you could use all that money to fix the problems we have here on earth. Then you would be a true legend," one user countered.
