Dyson has just introduced the 'world's slimmest vacuum' that's got people saying it’s better than anything Apple has launched lately.
Whether you're the designated cleaner in your household or you're holding out for Tesla's Optimus robot to take over the chores, this revolutionary vacuum design from Dyson is making everyone want one.
Branded the 'PencilVac,' Dyson's ultra-thin vacuum measures just 38 mm in diameter and weighs only 1.8kg. It can lie almost completely flat to the ground, with a working height of under 10cm, making it perfect for slipping under couches and squeezing into awkward corners.

The first thing you probably notice is that the bulky bin has been replaced with a much slender body. This smart design aims to compress the dust inside so it doesn't need to be emptied as often.
"I have long wanted to make a vacuum of only 38mm diameter," said Sir James Dyson, the company boss.

"But first, we needed to develop our most powerful Hyperdymium motor at only 28mm diameter to achieve such a slender machine."
Moreover, the gadget company has addressed one of the top pain points for vacuum users: long hair. Whether you're a pet owner or live among those with long hair, you'll most likely know the bane of untangling heaps of hair from a vacuum.
Instead, the PencilVac uses a spinning Fluffycone system that ejects hair automatically, as shown in the reveal video.
“If long hairs get wrapped around the cone, the spinning motion along with the specific angle of the cone causes the hair to tighten,” said Sam Cole, Dyson’s Floorcare Design Manager. “Which results in the hair travelling down to the smaller end of the cone, before it is released as a small hairball.”

Showcasing the design in a seven minute reveal, Dyson shows the innovative new vacuum design with a 360-degree 'laser-like illumination' to help spot hidden dust, and a powerful new motor built directly into the handle.

The PencilVac also features a two-stage dust separation system that captures 99.99% of particles which means cleaner air is pumped back into the user's home.
According to the British technology company, the bin holds five times more dust and debris than its 0.08-litre capacity and thanks to its smart 'bin ejection' system, the vacuum compresses the dirt and wipes the inside clean as you empty it.

Following the reveal, the new PencilVac has gone viral on X and some fans are using it to fire shots at tech firm Apple, writing: "How the f*** does a vacuum company have more innovative and interesting launch presentations than Apple."
Another X user noted: "Sad to say but this is more exciting than anything Apple has dropped in the past year too. I want one!"
Others are saying they have their wallets at the ready for when the PencilVac hits store shelves.
"I think watching this video is enough of a reason already for me to buy ANOTHER vacuum," one user commented while another argued: "i dont often fetishize household products but i want this f***en vacuum so bad".

Someone else added: "This looks awesome, I keep a set of scissors on my vacuum stand to cut hairs, this is a game changer".
