Unihertz revives Blackberry nostalgia with a new smartphone featuring a full QWERTY keyboard.
When you thought smartphones were all about glossy, oversized screens and folding in half, think again. An iconic phone style from the past is making a major comeback and fans can't wait.
Physical keypad options are pretty rare in today's smartphone market, but Unihertz remains one of the few companies still producing these types of devices.
Known for its distinct phone alternatives, Unihertz has just unveiled an upgraded version of its physical keyboard smartphone and it's probably the closest thing we've seen to a BlackBerry in years.

Showcased at MWC 2026, the Titan 2 Elite is more compact and refined than its predecessor, the original Titan. It comes in an eye-catching bright orange finish with a 4.03-inch 120Hz OLED display (1,080 x 1,200 resolution).
The lightweight Titan 2 Elite also features dual 50MP rear cameras, paired with a 32MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. It also packs serious power with 60W fast charging for its 4,050 mAh battery.
While the keys are slightly smaller than the Titan 2’s, there’s no secondary screen on the back of the new device, which caused some backlash among its users.
Like the Blackberry, the keyboard can be used as a trackpad, and certain keys can be programmed for custom shortcuts.
On the side of the device are a programmable button and a physical SIM card slot.
However, the Titan 2 Elite doesn't embrace all aspects of smartphone nostalgia as it doesn't possess a headphone jack.
According to Android Authority, the company also confirmed that the phone would receive five years of software updates, taking it all the way to Android 20.
Unihertz hasn't announced pricing for the Titan Elite 2 yet, but the company plans to launch it on Kickstarter later this month.
Over on the Reddit forum for BlackBerry lovers, fans are buzzing about the retro-style smartphone after one user shared the news.
"I’m die hard iPhone practically since the beginning, mainly due to ecosystem but damn, I’d consider trading out for this lol I was big BlackBerry and this has me giddy; the thicker older models didn’t do it for me," one user wrote.
"Same here! I’ll be keeping my iPhone for work and having either Titan Elite or Clicks. as my primary," another replied.
"This is exactly what I've been waiting for. A professional-looking qwerty keyboard phone that looks like a 9900/Classic. Take my money!!!" a third user remarked.
