He's doubling down on the long-rumored iPhone

Is the future really foldable? By now, we're sure you've heard about the long-rumored foldable iPhone, and while foldable smartphones have been around for some time, the tech giant is yet to muscle into the market. Still, with issues about foldable phones in terms of durability and what you sacrifice with cameras, you can't blame Apple for wanting to make sure it gets it right.

In terms of a foldable iPhone, leaks have ramped up in 2025, with a potential 2026 release date being thrown around.

Even as rivals evolve even further with tri-fold smartphones, Apple is left waiting in the wings. While some are already leaking Apple's iPhone plans for 2027, the foldable iPhone could thankfully be coming much sooner. Apple isn't likely to reveal a folding iPhone until its typical September Apple Special Event, but as with all things iPhone, leakers are trying to spoil the surprise early. We've seen this backfire massively in the past, and who could forget that monumental iPhone 4 blunder?

It's unsurprising that Apple doesn't take too kindly to leakers, with YouTuber Jon Prosser being all too aware of this after it threatened him with legal action. Despite facing the wrath of Apple's legal eagles, an undeterred Prosser went on to leak the iPhone 17 ahead of time, and now, he's doubling down on his scoops with the foldable iPhone.

While most of us might tuck tail and keep a low profile in the aftermath of a multi-trillion dollar company trying to sue us, Prosser celebrated Christmas early in a video that reveals the foldable iPhone.

Sure to rattle Apple's legal department even more, Prosser's video confidently claims the folding iPhone will launch alongside an iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max. His specs say it'll have a 5.5-inch external display and a hole-punch camera, with an inner screen of 7.8 inches.

Renders show off dual cameras similar to the iPhone Air, as well as an LED flash on the opposite size.

Sticking with the iPhone Air, Prosser maintains that the folding iPhone will only be 9mm when closed, with each half being a wafer thin 4.5 mm. As this is nearly a millimeter thinner than the 5.6mm iPhone Air, it will be wild if Apple has shrunk things down this much.

Gizmodo notes that although the dimensions align with previous reports, it goes against a different claim that the external screen will be 5.25 inches and considerably smaller than the 5.4-inch iPhone 13 Mini.

There are a lot of ifs here, notably, how much a foldable iPhone would cost, whether Apple has been able to make the crease less visible, and if Prosser's specs are anywhere near the finished product.

Responding to the video, there were plenty of jokes about what Apple is going to do with Prosser when this one inevitably lands on its desk. Considering he's been MIA for a while, one person wrote: "Blink 3 times if you’re filming in jail."

Another joked: "He’s alive. Thank god. Can’t say he isn’t sequestered into hiding somewhere though. Eek!"

A third said: "Welp now he's gonna get sued again 😂."
