If it feels like your phone is starting to slow down and isn’t performing as well as it once did then fear not, because there are some simple tricks that could completely transform your device.
If you’re holding off from making an upgrade then there are some easy tips that could come in handy when trying to speed up your old iPhone model that could end up prolonging its longevity.
First off, check your cache and make sure it has been cleared if your Apple device is performing slower than usual, as reported by PC Mag.
This is because your phone might be working overtime to keep all of the tabs and apps running that you have open, so be sure to close anything you’re not using.

You’ll have the option to remove history from select time periods or all of the history on your Safari app. It will also give you the option to close all of your tabs.
Another trick is to offload any unused apps in order to boost your device’s performance. On the iPhone, this can be done by going to Settings, then General and iPhone Storage. From there, you’ll be able to click on any apps that you don’t need and hit the Offload App option.
iOS 27 is set to come with a host of new features
A range of new performance-boosting features are set to be released by Apple next month with iOS 27.
Fans are expecting the operating system update to introduce new features including a more capable, contextual Siri, which is integrated with AI, as well as redesigned icons, and new photo editing tools.

Apple has described the newly revamped Siri AI as a ‘profoundly more capable and conversational assistant with personal context understanding, broad world knowledge, and onscreen awareness’.
On the Apple website, it states: “Siri AI also includes a dedicated app for users to revisit conversations across their products, an expanded Visual Intelligence experience, and integrated tools for writing.
“With a bold new architecture uniquely designed to protect users’ privacy, Siri AI leverages the next generation of Apple Intelligence to bring state-of-the-art understanding and reasoning, along with powerful system-wide capabilities, to Apple’s operating systems. These features are available for developer testing starting today, and will be available as a beta to users later this year.”
